Mel Carry was raised in a military family that moved a lot. He spent the majority of his childhood in Wichita, Kansas where he played several sports. While in high school, he worked various jobs from call centers to retail stores. A few years after graduating from high school and working a few dead-end jobs, Mel decided to make changes in his life and join the United States Navy. Mel was put on a
delayed entry program to the Navy due to a knee injury that had occurred while playing semipro football. While still recovering from his knee injury, Mel moved to Mesa, Arizona and enrolled in the Media Arts Program at Collins College. There he decided that he no longer wanted to work for anyone else and wanted to own his own multi media company. Mel worked any type of media related job that would hire and give him an opportunity. Some of the jobs included taking family portraits and filming youth football games. Shortly after graduating with an Associates degree in Media Arts from Collins, Mel enlisted in the United States Army as a Combat Documentation Production Specialist (Combat Camera Soldier). Including his experience before joining the United States Army, Mel has acquired almost a decade of experience developing various media and marketing productions. With extensive experience in public relations and media, he has helped with the promotion of international products for countries such as, Iraq, Qatar, and Korea. In spite of his experience in the United States Army as a Combat Camera Soldier and later as a Headset Technician focusing on the instant replay system with the Major League Baseball Network, Mel continues to ascertain about the newest technology and innovate techniques to incorporate in media marketing products.
