94th Oscars Nominations Announced:

Active members of the Academy are eligible to vote for the winners in all 23 categories beginning Thursday, March 17, through Tuesday, March 22.

The 94th Oscars will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland in Hollywood and will be televised live on ABC at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and in more than 200 territories worldwide.

Cinema Audio Society Announces CAS Awards Nominations for Outstanding Achievements in Sound Mixing During 2021:

After a virtual event in 2021, the 58th Annual Cinema Audio Society Awards returns as a live event on Saturday, 3/19 in the Wilshire Grand Ballroom at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. Legendary director and producer Sir Ridley Scott will receive the Cinema Audio Society Filmmaker Award. Being honored with the CAS Career Achievement Award is previously announced honoree re-recording sound mixer, Paul Massey CAS. Writer-actor Kristen Vangsness (Criminal Minds) will emcee the event and other presenters will be announced soon.

American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Announces 2022 Nominees:

The ASC has named its annual Outstanding Achievement Award nominees in the categories of feature film, documentary and television cinematography.

Winners will be announced during the 36th ASC Awards on March 20, 2022. The ceremony will be a hybrid event, both in person and live streamed, at the historic ASC Clubhouse in Hollywood.

American Cinema Editors (ACE) announced today that film editors Lillian E. Benson, ACE and Richard Chew, ACE will receive Career Achievement Awards for their outstanding contributions to film editing at the 72nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards.

“Lillian and Richard are rock star editors and represent the very best of our craft and profession,” stated ACE president Kevin Tent, ACE. “Just look at those credits! The Cinema Audio Society (CAS) has opened awards submissions for the 58th CAS Awards. All entries must be received by 5 PM PT on Dec. 21, 2021.

The CAS Awards recognize Outstanding Sound Mixing in film and television, Outstanding Products for Production and Post-Production, as well as the recipient of the CAS Student Recognition Award. The live event returns March 19, 2022 to the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown at the Wilshire Grand Ballroom, where legendary director and producer Sir Ridley Scott will receive the Cinema Audio Society Filmmaker Award. Also being honored that evening with the CAS Career Achievement Award is Re-Recording Mixer, Paul Massey CAS.
