Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Nigerian youths to cultivate the spirit of contentment, hard work, and patience instead of adopting what she described as a "beggarly mindset."
Speaking on Friday while receiving the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Wing at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, the First Lady encouraged young people to remain focused on building a successful future through diligence and integrity rather than seeking shortcuts to wealth.
She stressed that many young people are often in a hurry to achieve success, noting that true progress comes through perseverance and trust in God's timing.
"God always knows our needs, and that is what young people do not know; they are always in a hurry. I am teaching you how to learn contentment and not be beggarly," she said.
Drawing inspiration from the eagle, Tinubu encouraged the youths to develop resilience, rise above challenges, and avoid comparing themselves with others.
She also commended the APC youth leadership for promoting unity within the party and urged them to continue supporting and projecting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
As part of her support for the youth wing, the First Lady presented nine buses to the APC National Youth Leader, Deputy National Youth Leader, zonal leaders, and the FCT leadership to enhance their party and community engagement activities.
