I am so excited and proud to have just read the first Trophy Boy film review from the London screening.
I delighted to let you guys know that my directional debut has been accepted into the 's and will screen in the Palais on the 18th of May.
"James in Trophy Boy (brilliantly played by Emrhys Cooper, who also did one hell of an amazing job directing the film, so watch out Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese, this guy is that good) - Trophy Boy is one of the best films I've seen this year, if not the best. About the excesses and downfalls of living a social media life, Trophy Boy will be screening at the Cannes Short Film Corner " Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your beautifully written review Movies OVER The Rainbow

Armak Productions announces its award-winning— and 100% indigenous New Orleans— independent feature LAUNDRY DAY has signed a deal for distribution with boutique distributor Summer Hill Films. Josh Hallman of Circus Road Films negotiated for the filmmakers.
"We are very excited here at Summer Hill Films," said Ted Chalmers, company President, "to be releasing LAUNDRY DAY on a worldwide basis." Summer Hill plans to release the film first in North America on Amazon Instant, Google Play, iTunes and Xbox, followed by a Blu-Ray/DVD release and subscription sites. Estimated release date is 1st or 2nd quarter of 2018. Summer Hill will also be offering the film to foreign distributors at the upcoming American Film Market in Santa Monica, CA. this November. Worldwide digital is expected in late 2018.
Said Chalmers, "We feel the film's fun and clever look at working class Americans that will resound with people all over the world." LAUNDRY DAY premiered at John Schneider's Cineflix Film Festival and won the Jury Prize for Best Film, The Robert Evans Award.
Proudly boasting an all-New Orleans cast, crew, and creative team, LAUNDRY DAY stars Billy Slaughter (The Magnificent Seven, The Big Short, Jack Reacher Movie), Kerry Cahill (Midnight Special Moviel, Bad Moms, Now You See Me, "The Walking Dead"), Davey Dave ("True Detective," Bomb City, Daddy's Home), and new discovery Samantha Ann Huffman, aka Sam Aquatic from the NOLA circus community. Writer-Director/Producer Randy Mack painstakingly shot the film at real locations in the , , and , including Aunt Tiki's on Decatur, 's, The John, Schiro's, Café Negril, The Blue Nile, Flora, The Dragon's Den, and Vaughan's Lounge.
Based on a true story that occurred in notorious 24-hour dive-bar/laundromat/diner/nightclub Igor's Checkpoint Charlie's, the film is about a bizarre bar fight between a drug dealer, a gutterpunk, a musician, a street performer, and a bartender, and takes us back in time to experience the same day in each of its characters' lives, revealing a tragicomic web of community intrigue. Guest starring Theodus Crane, Mason Joiner, Carrie Anne Rose, Rebecca Elizabeth Hollingsworth, Michael Martin, Veronica Russell, Peter Orr, John Jabaley, Misty Marshall, and Luis Q. Barroso. The all-local soundtrack features Sweet Crude, Andy J Forest, Sneaky Pete and the Fens, Happy Talk Band, Caddywhompus, Gal Holiday and the H***y Tonk R***e, Vox and the Hound, Jim Smith's Damn Frontier, Beth Patterson, Bare Handed Bear Handlers, and Lynn Drury Music.
Randy Mack is the award-winning filmmaker behind film festival darling Burning Annie (Sundance Creative Distribution, 2017). LAUNDRY DAY was co-produced by Elishia McAllister, associate produced by Andrew Grange Palmer, shot by Eric Roger Louis Vandervynckt with Kevin Hughes on 4k RED Scarlet system in association with Parasol Productions & Hidden Spigot Productions, and edited by Eva Contis.
