Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison and fined $50,000 after being found guilty of transporting individuals for prostitution under the Mann Act. He was cleared of more serious charges like racketeering and s*x trafficking.

His lawyers requested the sentence be reduced to no more than 14 months, noting he’s already served 13 months and arguing that parts of the jury’s ruling were unfair.

After the sentencing, Diddy reportedly asked Donald Trump for a presidential pardon. Trump confirmed the request, saying he knows Diddy and that “he seems like a nice guy.”

Before sentencing, Diddy wrote a letter asking for mercy, admitting he had “lost his way” but had since changed. He later apologized to his family, saying jail had deeply affected him.

Researchers have found that polyphenols in plums—particularly compounds such as quercitrin—can trigger apoptosis, a process in which cancer cells essentially self-destruct. According to a study published in Springer Nature, plum polyphenols were shown to increase the Bax/Bcl-2 ratio, a key marker of cell death, in human lung cancer cells. The study also reported that these compounds disrupted the PI3K/AKT/FOXO1 signaling pathway, which is crucial for cancer cell survival and growth.

Argentina is shaken by the triple murder of 20-year-old Morena Verdi, her peer Brenda del Castillo, and 15-year-old Lara Morena Gutiérrez in Florencio Varela, just outside Buenos Aires.

The girls disappeared on Friday, September 19, after getting into a van in their La Matanza neighborhood. On Wednesday, September 24, their mutilated bodies, bearing signs of torture, were found buried in a pit in Florencio Varela.

Provincial Security Minister Javier Alonso reported that the torture and murder of the young women was streamed live on social media.

Alonso explained that the live broadcast of the torture was viewed by approximately 45 people connected to a criminal group.

According to local press, the three girls were lured into the trap with the promise of a $300 payment for a “s*x party.”

Five people have already been arrested for the triple murder, while two others—including a 20-year-old Peruvian drug trafficker, Pequeño J, suspected of orchestrating the killings—are still at large.
