I once met .malone when I was 16 Paul Carr Mid-Atlantic Jazz Festival Guitar Summit in 2017. Today I feel I missed out on the opportunity to reconnect with someone who has inspired me and many other generations of artist. I’ve always wanted to someday share with him what he’s taught me about life, laughter and the guitar. I hope he knows we love him. My condolences to all.

He will live in my playing and my memory.

It's been an amazing two weeks as part of the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program. The experience can not be define in a post.
