Pioneertown Literary Journal

Pioneertown Literary Journal a literary journal that excites and ignites. We accept fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, hybrid work, and beyond. Genre is less important than work that speaks for itself, and if you don’t want to label it, neither will we.

We like experimentation, we like innovation, but most of all we like quality work that excites and ignites. Distill it, break it down, build it up, and abandon it. Make us feel, think, laugh, cry, cringe, crumble, and tumble.

"To love like this is to live in illogical places,

run outside with a bucket,
and feed to my baby what falls."

I call her honey, lick her paws to suck the sticky off, the sap I brewed and poured on her coat so she might....

'During a hike up a mountain, a robot finds itself deep within the rain of frogs; however, what is most interesting is the ache of the machine’s cells at various points. What sets human behavior in motion and keeps it going? Does the robot catch frogs to satisfy a drive, such as hunger or love?'
