Sawhorse Productions was started by Nic Hill and Blake Behnam 2013; two editors seeking an outlet to direct and tell the kinds of stories they loved in an environment they believed in. As a directing duo, they tackled everything from documentaries to commercials and in the early days… just about anything and everything they

could get their hands on. As Sawhorse grew and the projects became bigger and generally more awesome, an old friend and rockstar producer Eben Kostbar joined as a partner and Head of Production. With the team fully realized, Sawhorse doubled down their efforts doing what they do best- collaborating with filmmakers, writers, and editors to crack open their imaginations and bring amazing stories, and characters… to life. Before starting Sawhorse, Nic Hill directed and edited numerous feature films, music videos, and documentaries. His work received worldwide acclaim, both on the festival circuit and on couches near you. At Sawhorse, Nic Hill serves as GM and head of post-production, constantly reminding us that he is the most patient person on earth. Eben Kostbar also did some damage before joining Sawhorse. He produced several award winning independent feature films, documentaries, and various shows for both TV and the web, including several pilots for Comedy Central and HBO's “Ferrell Takes the Field.”

Blake Behnam serves as Sawhorse’s creative director. In this role he not only directs a ton of commercial and branded content but also pretty much has his hand in all things creative at Sawhorse. More importantly… he believes El Pollo Loco has the best chicken in Los Angeles. Most recently Sawhorse has produced the YouTube Red series “Single By 30” and the Go90 series “Algorhythm” as well as several other commercial and branded projects. Above all Sawhorse is a family of producers, directors, and editors (and everything in-between) who come to work everyday to collaborate, create, and put it all on the screen.
