🌍 PTV’s work transforms lives by providing medical care 🩺, psychological support, legal advocacy, and community programs 🤝 for survivors of torture as they rebuild and reclaim their futures. This year’s event was a powerful celebration of resilience, healing, and hope 🌟.

📸 Our photo + 🎥 video team was on the ground capturing every moment, from moving survivor stories to the incredible energy in the room, so the impact can be shared far beyond the event itself.

We had the honor of capturing SEIU President April Verrett at the “Fight the Oligarchy” rally in Los Angeles this past Saturday. Standing alongside Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and other progressive leaders, President Verrett delivered a powerful message on the ongoing struggle for economic and racial justice.

In her speech, she reflected on her recent visit to Selma, Alabama, commemorating the 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday, and emphasized that “we’re still fighting that fight. Different tactics, same old oppression.” She called for unity and action, stating, “We can’t just protest, we gotta disrupt. We are stronger than their greed.”

The rally drew a record-breaking crowd of over 36,000 attendees, all united in the call for justice and equity.

California’s farms 🌽 are struggling because of labor shortages driven by Trump’s deportation policies. Farm workers 👨🏾‍🌾—the backbone of our agriculture—are too afraid to show up, leaving crops to rot and communities to suffer.
