Parked in front of the garden center pallets, this 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Super Sport LS6 is the stuff posters were made of.

Mulsanne Blue with twin black SS stripes over the cowl hood and decklid, black SS grille, quad headlights, chrome bumpers, SS badges on the fenders, 5-spoke SS wheels with white-letter tires, dual exhaust out back, cracked lot and mulch bags behind it.

LS6 454, 450 horsepower from the factory — the king of '70.

Would you keep it this blue with black stripes, or go Cranberry Red or Tuxedo Black?

What color would you want your LS6 in?

My blue 1990 Cadillac Brougham 5.7 just proved why the 350 cars are unicorns - guy offered $16,500 cash today.

It's sat on this pine lot 4 years, only dry days. Light blue over silver, blue vinyl top, wire wheels, but pine sap on the roof and dust and it still smells like leather and old aftershave inside.

Mike crawled under it to check the 5.7 badge, then showed up with $16,500 cash in a bank envelope by the trees. I told him not yet. Now Lisa says if it's a real 5.7, I should keep it.

Real 5.7 Broughams are getting impossible to find - am I crazy for not taking $16,500?

Outside that shop door, this 1966 Chevrolet Chevy II is sitting clean and low.

Tannish beige with a black mesh grille, chrome bumper shaved smooth, polished five-spokes tucked up tight, lowered just right over the concrete, DC Motors plate on the nose, garage doors open behind it.

Nova guys know — Chevy II was the light, cheap, go-fast blank canvas.

Do you keep this smooth custom tan look with the big billets, or do you bring it back to factory Ermine White with Rallys and a 327 badge?

If this was your blank canvas, what motor are you dropping in?

My gold 1963 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88's been at this show 5 years straight - guy went from $31k to $36k today.

It's sat in this cracked lot every summer, only show drives. Gold, Cragars, lettered tires, all chrome, but parking lot heat and a chip on the bumper and it still smells like old vinyl and gas inside.

Mike started at $31k cash in a bank envelope at my trunk. I said no. He came back with $36k. I told him not yet. Now Lisa says I'm crazy for watching it go up.

He went up $5k in one day - am I crazy for still saying no?

My mechanic begged me not to sell my gold 1970 LeMans Sport - guy had $34,000 cash in the driveway.

It's sat on this dirt driveway 8 years, only started for shows. Fresh gold paint, white rally wheels, black interior, but barn dust on the roof and it still smells like old vinyl and fuel inside.

Mike showed up with $34k cash in a bank envelope by the barn. My mechanic said don't sell it, you'll never find another this clean. Now Lisa says I'm listening to him over her.

Am I crazy for listening to my mechanic over cash?

You hear this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Drag Car before you even turn around.

Murdered-out black, massive forward-facing scoop punched through the hood, skinny fronts, fat Hoosier slicks out back, wheelie bars hanging off the rear, full cage and Lexan windows with the screws showing, side dumps under the doors — parked on dirt next to picnic tables like it just rolled in from the strip.

No street pretender here, this is all business.

This 1968 Chevrolet Impala SS 396 looks right at home on that dirt spot under the trees.

Pale frost green with black vinyl roof, chrome bumper guards, Rally wheels with white letters, six round taillights out back — even the blue tent in the background fits it. Park afternoon, not a show field.

Most folks remember these as family cars, but the SS 396 made it a highway runner in a tuxedo.

Do you love this light green with the black top, or would you have ordered it black or Marina Blue back in '68?

This silver 1976 Vega has never seen winter - guy offered $19,500 today and I said no.

It's sat in a heated garage 9 years, only dry days. Fresh silver, black stripes, VEGA decals, Weld wheels, but gravel dust on the tires and it still smells like old vinyl and fuel inside.

Mike texted $19,500 and showed up with cash in a bank envelope in this gravel lot. I told him not yet. Now Lisa says I'm crazy for saving a Vega.

Is a winter-free 76 Vega worth saving or am I nuts?
