What a weekend at ! My second time ever having a table, and I think it went pretty well this time! I'm so thankful for so many people who made this convention a success for me. I'll keep the short version up here but thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, everyone who attended one of my panels, and everyone who took care of me. ❤️ This community is why I have kept going with cosplay despite hardships, and I can't wait to share more time with you all. All the friend pics will be in another post!
On Thursday and a lot of the day Friday, the impostor syndrome and self doubts were ferocious. When I get really anxious and stressed, I end up super nauseous and fatigued on top of whatever else I've got going on. My body is just not very cooperative under prolonged stress. Getting my cosplays ready took a backseat to getting the stuff I wanted to sell done, and I had made a ton of compromises even before I packed a single thing. And of course, I forgot a bunch of stuff which doesn't help when you're already feeling a ton of internal shame at not being properly prepared. My mind kept spiraling from there, thinking that it was stupid of me to have had this as my long term goal. All I could think was that I'm physically not capable of it, and that I was biting off more than I can chew given my situation.
Thankfully, early Saturday morning my savior arrived. My greatest friend of all, the sister I always wanted, arrived ❤️ She took such good care of me and really turned the whole weekend around. I was able to get through the remaining days and actually wear cosplays 3 days in a row! I could get way more sappy about it but y'all, I would've been a shell of myself this weekend without her. I can't wait for more adventures like this together, and for her to start getting into cosplay too! ❤️ Love you so much, Lisa!
