Looked like Talbot was screened AND the shot was deflected on the WSH game-winner.

Per LA Kings: G Phoenix Copley underwent successful ACL reconstruction surgery this week and will miss the remainder of the season. The procedure was performed by Dr. Frank Petrigliano at Keck Hospital of USC. Copley is expected to make a full recovery.

LA Kings looked like they were better tonight vs. DET than they were against TOR, but they're still not on top on their game. Still too many missed passes, fumbled pucks, having their shots blocked... They got a point, but still have issues.

Per LA Kings: The NHL announced today that goaltender Cam Talbot has been selected to represent the at the 2024 NHL All-Star Game on Saturday, Feb. 3 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, ON.

The LA Kings have recalled defenseman Brandt Clarke from the Ontario Reign, the Kings’ primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). In addition, defenseman Tobias Bjornfot has been placed on waivers. Clarke, 20, was recently selected as the AHL’s Rookie of the Month award winner for De...

Listening to Nick and Daryl tonight, LA Kings vs. TOR. Lots of missed passes, fumbled pucks, bad turnovers. Give the Leafs credit, but the Kings sound horrible tonight.

Unless I'm mistaken, tonight's LA Kings game vs. TOR is being televised exclusively on ESPN+ and Hulu, so I'll be listening to Nick and Daryl on the IHeart Radio stream.

Evenly played game tonight between the Oilers and LA Kings. Shootouts are always a crapshoot. Move on to the next one.

I've been seeing people ‪singling out
particular LA Kings players for their perceived lack of performance in last night's game at VGK. That's ridiculous. The entire team was off their game.‬

LA Kings have signed defenseman Angus Booth to a three-year, entry-level contract worth an average annual value (AAV) of $852,500. He was selected by the Kings in the 4th round (116th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft,

LA Kings never looked sharp at VGK tonight. VGK outplayed the Kings throughout, taking them out of their game. It was, perhaps, the Kings worst performance in quite some time.

After a lackluster first period, the LA Kings dominate the rest of the way with 5 unanswered goals to blowout San Jose, 5-1. Kempe scored twice and Rittich got his second win in goal. LAK will fly to Las Vegas after the game.

Forgot to mention this earlier... Usually, empty-net goals aren't worth mentioning. But LA Kings forward Quinton Byfield's EN goal vs. CGY on Saturday night was impressive. He was 2-4 strides behind the defenseman chasing the puck. But Byfield turned on the jets to catch and pass the defenseman to score.

Congrats to Josh Schaefer on a great debut, filling in for Nick Nickson on tonight's LA Kings broadcast. He did a great job!

LA Kings managed to survive their penalty-laden performance vs. CGY, holding on for a 5-3 win. With all the penalties, they gave the Flames more than enough opportunities to win, and a good portion of those penalties were the result of being out of position.

Per LA Kings: Nick Nickson will be unavailable to call tonight’s game between the LA Kings and Calgary Flames due to illness. Nick is anticipated to return after the holiday break. Josh Schaefer, who serves as the Ontario Reign’s primary play-by-play voice, will make his NHL television debut alongside lead analyst Jim Fox (booth), ice-side analyst Daryl Evans (ice level) and reporter Carrlyn Bathe (rinkside).

Didn't think the LA Kings looked all that sharp tonight vs. SEA. That was apparent in some of their decision-making. Not a surprising result tonight.

Didn't see the LA Kings 4-1 win at San Jose. Listened to Nick and Daryl on the iHeart stream. LA only allowed 15 shots on goal, so Rittich wasn't tested much in goal. Sounded like he was fine, though. Can't say much else.

Per LA Kings: Defenseman Jacob Moverare has been loaned to the Ontario Reign (AHL) and Goaltender Pheonix Copley has been placed on long-term injured reserve (LTIR).

LA Kings dominate in Seattle, end up winning in a 9-round shootout. Too bad we couldn't watch or hear a large portion of the telecast due to technical difficulties.

Per LA Kings: Defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov has been placed on injured reserve (IR) due to a lower-body injury and Goaltender David Rittich has been recalled from the Ontario Reign (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Gene Carr could skate like the wind while his long hair trailed behind him. Will always remember his speed.

Gene Carr could skate like the wind while his long hair trailed behind him. Will always remember his speed.

A real stinker by the LA Kings tonight vs. WPG. LAK was badly outplayed in all facets of the game throughout.

Per LA Kings: D Vladislav Gavrikov will not play tonight vs.WPG, and is sidelined week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

5 games in 8 days will result in fatigue for any team, and the LA Kings made the kinds of mistakes and poor decisions at NYR that tired teams make. It really showed from the second period on. A brief sign of life in the 3rd when Danault scored, but they quickly lost it again.

Seeing a lot of LA Kings fans saying that NYI F Anders Lee's knee-on-knee got on Kings D Gavrikov was "dirty."

To be a dirty play, there would have be evidence of intent to injure, pre-meditation. There's no such evidence.

Careless and dangerous? Sure. Dirty? No.

LA Kings didn't play poorly at NYI, but the Isles were the better team in the third period and OT is always a crapshoot. LAK's record-setting road winning streak to start a season ends at 11.

– With the LA Kings’ 4-0 shutout victory over the Canadiens in Montreal tonight, they improved their 2023-24 road record to 11-0-0. In doing so, the club set a new National Hockey League record for the longest road-win streak to start a season in league history, previously held by the
