Los Angeles area concierges were treated to a VIP night at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures on Tuesday, April 26. Guests got to explore the largest U.S. institution dedicated to moviemaking featuring collection highlights such as Dorothy's ruby slippers from "The Wizard of Oz" (1939), and the extraterrestrial headpiece worn in "Alien" (1979). Guests strolled the three-floor exhibition, "Stories of Cinema," that presents the diverse, international and complex stories of moviemakers, the works they create, and the impact their art has on the world. A temporary exhibition, "Hayao Miyazaki," is dedicated to the work of its namesake, the celebrated artist and filmmaker. A private reception in the Museum's Tea Room co-hosted by Wolfgang Puck Catering and Fanny's restaurant gave concierges an opportunity to meet and network with key staff.
