Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Friends, as you go through your day, you can be thanking Him in whatever you are going through. The text says, in everything not for everything. We can thank Him for being with us in our situations, giving us strength to meet our needs and grace to meet our difficulties. We can give thanks in pain and in joy. This is His will for us in Christ Jesus.

Prayer:

Lord, Please help me to remember to be in a ‘living conversation’ with You and to go through this day, with thanksgiving in my heart. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

What a blessed comfort this verse has been to multitudes of believers in Christ, who have rested on these words of the Psalmist, and had their hearts stilled in the presence of the Lord.

Friends, although the nations rage like the billows of the sea, we are called to be still in the presence of the Lord and to know Him in our heart by faith, with thanksgiving. May we be still in His presence and cease from all our strivings... and be at peace in His company!

"Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it Holy." Exodus 20:8

Friends, may we show our appreciation to God by following His Sabbath command. May we honor Him by enjoying the good gift He has given us of a day off each week for rest and worship. The Sabbath is indeed a day worth remembering, let us embrace this special time of rest and surrender.

Like the psalmist, we can’t wait to begin our celebration of this day that the Lord has made—a day of rescue, a day of joy, a day of power, a new day, a beginning day, a day of life and light!

For each of us, this day dawns when we come to faith in Christ, when we see all that God has done for us and we believe and trust it is true.
