“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it Holy." Exodus 20:8

Friends, the beautiful thing about the Sabbath is that God instituted it as a weekly reminder of two things. One is that all true blessing comes from His Grace, not our labor. The other is that we hallow Him and honor Him and keep the day Holy if we seek the fullness of His blessing by giving our special attention to Him on that day. When we trust God by taking our hands off our work, what we give up through Sabbath ultimately benefits those around us.

Friends, this verse tells us what we expect of others, and that God considers our character more important to Him than our circumstances
We who have known God’s grace and forgiveness, should be people of integrity and our nature - inherently kind, loving, loyal and devoted to family and friends (1 Corinthians 13:4-8a). If you are receiving harsh treatment from anyone, the way to overcome this kind of treatment is to sow good things back to that person no matter what wrongs they have done to you. If we cannot sow actual deeds to them, we can sow kind prayers and thoughts toward them. It is not possible for us to do this in our own selves, as we must have the power of the Holy Spirit to help us overcome evil with good. However, when we choose to pursue this path, the Lord will move on the hearts of others to respond to us differently.

"The things which are impossible with men are possible with God." Luke 18:27

Many things are hard for us. Others seem impossible. Jesus wants us to realize that when we live for the Kingdom — if we trust in God's power to be at work within us — then we can do far more than we would ever imagine as possible. The real issue is putting God first and not letting anything take his place of preeminence in our hearts.

Friends, no matter what challenges you are facing in your lives, know that our God is the God of the impossible!
