Choosing cabinets for your kitchen? Let your countertop pick for you! 🤯 Your stone and cabinets don’t have to be the same color but their undertones gotta work together!

🔔 Comment GUIDE to get this sent to your DM!

WARM STONE → Taj Mahal quartzite, Calacatta Gold, caramel or golden veining. Pair with natural white oak, creamy whites, walnut. Just remember: natural white oak can pull really golden — whitewash it if you want it softer, creamier, and less yellow.

COOL STONE → Carrara, Bardiglio, White Macaubas, blue-grey or silvery veining. Skip cabinetry that pulls yellow or orange. Think bleached or grey-washed oak, pale ash, soft cool whites, or charcoal.

NEUTRAL STONE → Mont Blanc, Cristallo, Patagonia. You have the most freedom. Go warmer with whitewashed oak, softer with mushroom or taupe, or quieter with greige and soft off-white.

But the biggest rule? Never choose by the stone name alone. Hold the actual cabinet sample against the actual slab. If the undertones feel related, you’re good. If they’re fighting each other? Walk away.

Save this for your next slab yard visit. 🤍

What countertop are you working with?

Married to Renovation Meet XiXi, a girl so extra they named her twice. My superpower? Finding the most expensive thing in any room. And yes, I’m fluent in contractor. He thinks he’s the love of my life, but I’m in a toxic relationship with renovation.

You voted for this stone! 🤍 Now vote WHITE or WHITE OAK cabinets?

🤍 White Slim Shaker = bright, timeless, classic
🌿 White Oak Slim Shaker = warm, organic modern

Both look amazing with Arga from Cosentino and full slab backsplash, but I can only pick one for my prep kitchen.

Vote now!! WHITE or WHITE OAK? 👇

Love cool colors but don’t want your home to feel cold? Here’s my trick: balance cool tones at every focal level! 🤯

🔔 Comment GUIDE to get my color guide sent straight to your DM!

When we walk into a room, we look at the room in 3 zones - High, Eye-level and Low. If your primary color is cool, you gotta have warm colors or natural material at every zone!

HIGH → What’s happening above eye level?
If your main color is cool, bring in warmth through aged brass, warm metals, wood, or lighting.

EYE LEVEL → This is where your cabinetry, walls, counters, and furniture dominate.

LOW → Floors ground the entire palette.
Ivory limestone, travertine, warm white oak, or other natural materials instantly soften cooler blues and grays.

In this gorgeous Christopher Peacock kitchen with blue cabinetry, the aged brass vent hood, CCalacattamarble, and the ivory limestone tiles add natural warmth at every level.

Save this if you’re choosing paint colors, kitchen cabinets, flooring, countertops, or finishes for your home. 🤍

Would you choose a blue kitchen?

HUSBAND vs WIFE: Kitchen Slab. 1 or 2? You vote👇

TEAM MARMORIO 🤍 or TEAM ARGA 🤎?

Which one for our prep kitchen?

Partnering with Cosentino United States for our house, starting with prep kitchen, the real workhorse behind our show kitchen. We toured their slab yard and narrowed it to these 2 Dekton favorites and now we are stuck. Both are heat-proof, scratch-proof, stain-proof so they can actually handle a hardworking prep kitchen. Absolutely cannot wait for all the fun to begin with our team Proslit Tile & Stone.

An extraordinary honor to be invited inside Hayvenhurst, where Prince Jackson gave me an exclusive tour of the Jackson family estate, and shared how he’s carrying Michael Jackson’s legacy forward through his Heal Los Angeles Foundation. 🤍 What a surreal moment to watch “Michael” at the family’s legacy home where the movie was filmed, and where Michael Jackson experienced one of the most extraordinary creative runs in music history, from Off the Wall through Thriller and into the Bad era. And to experience it all on Michael’s birthday weekend… truly unforgettable!
