Tyler Baltierra is speaking out again about adoption, saying that looking back at how adults handled Catelynn Lowell’s pregnancy as a teen makes him want to prevent what he calls “unnecessary adoptions.”
He basically said that when he thinks about everything they went through at 16… the pressure, the lack of real guidance, and how decisions were handled… it doesn’t sit right with him now as an adult. He feels like things could have been done differently, and that’s what fuels how strongly he speaks on it today.
And let’s be real… their situation with Carly has never been simple. Over the years, the boundaries with her adoptive parents, the limited contact, and the emotional weight of it all has clearly stayed with both of them.
And honestly… this is where the conversation gets complicated.
Because on one hand, you have two people who feel like they were failed during a vulnerable moment and are still carrying that.
But on the other hand, adoption isn’t one-size-fits-all… and for a lot of families, it is the right choice.
So I’m curious…
Do you think their situation was mishandled, or do you think they made the best decision they could at the time? 👀
