Let’s learn ancient crafts to counter brain rot.
Today, stained glass, with artist Ben Tuna (BEN TUNA | glass artist ).
To get started you need: Glass, a glass cutter, lead came, a soldering iron, and cement!
Stained glass is over a thousand years old, but it really gained popularity across Europe between 1150 and 1550.
The basic techniques used to make stained glass have barely changed since they were documented by a German monk in the early 12th century.
A huge thank you to Ben for letting me document the process over the course of a few weeks. It really is an incredibly tedious and time-consuming craft, and it’s amazing that artists like Ben continue that tradition by hand.
