Mick Schumacher faced a very tough challenge on Saturday in Phoenix. After a brilliant qualifying session, securing 4th place on the grid on his debut, it was expected that the race would be much tougher. Although Mick lost positions at the start, he stayed with the pack and was fighting for a Top 10 finish.
Unfortunately, as has become quite common for Mick, more bad luck followed. A pit stop mishap β a broken pit gun β combined with being caught out by yellow flags afterwards cost him a good result.
It effectively cost him more than a lap, which meant he was out of sync with the field and unable to recover.
Another street race now awaits Mick Schumacher in Arlington, the final race of the triple-header weekend. This could suit Mick better. Itβs another opportunity to show his competitiveness, as in the first race in St. Petersburg he was (once again) unable to show his true pace after being taken out on Lap 1.
