Tel Aviv, Sept 2025 Israelâs Defense Minister Israel Katz announced on Wednesday that Israeli forces have carried out a new round of strikes against Houthi positions in Yemen, part of the ongoing military campaign known as Operation Bell Tolls.
âWe promised more strikes, and today we delivered another painful blow against the Houthi terrorist organization in Yemen,â Katz posted on X (formerly Twitter).
âThe long arm of Israel will reach terrorists wherever they hide, and we will strike any source of threat against our citizens.â
in Sanaa and Al Jawf
According to an official statement by the Israel Occupation Forces (IOF), the air raids focused on military camps in Sanaa and Al Jawf. Among the sites hit were the Houthi Military Public Relations Headquarters and a fuel storage facility reportedly linked to the groupâs operations.
The IOF claimed these facilities were being used to plan and coordinate attacks on Israel, while the Public Relations Department was allegedly responsible for spreading propaganda, broadcasting speeches by Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, and releasing statements from spokesperson Yahya Sari.
as Retaliation for Drone and Missile Attacks
Israeli officials stressed that the operation was in direct response to Houthi drone and missile launches targeting Israeli territory. The military accused the Houthis of acting with Iranian funding and guidance, claiming they exploit maritime routes to stage attacks on international shipping and global trade.
âThe Houthis are being armed and financed by Iran to destabilize the region and endanger Israeli civilians and international interests,â the IOF said. âWe will continue to act decisively until these threats are neutralized.â
Incursions Intercepted
Earlier this week, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) confirmed intercepting three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) allegedly launched from Yemen. Two were destroyed before they crossed into Israeli airspace, while the third was taken down shortly after.
Escalation in the Region
The latest strikes highlight the growing tension between Israel and Houthi forces, as the conflict expands beyond Gaza and Lebanon. Israel has warned that it will not hesitate to target any group threatening its security, no matter how far from its borders.
