¿Decir “booba” en vez de biberón arruina el español? ¿Decir “bye” en vez de “adiós” lo corrompe? A veces parece que nos preocupa más quién usa el inglés que el inglés mismo. Porque si lo dice una influencer fresa, se ve aspiracional. Pero si lo dice un hijo de migrantes, es ser maleducado. ¿Por qué tanta diferencia si al final hablamos desde contextos distintos? El inglés no está dañando el español, lo que nos incomoda es que alguien hable una lengua de poder. ¿Y si en vez de criticar, entendemos desde dónde se habla?

As a Latina-owned independent publisher, our mission has always been to amplify underrepresented voices, celebrate Latino culture, and create high-quality bilingual children’s books that reflect the diversity of our communities.

Since launching in 2018, we’ve worked to fill the gap in publishing by telling stories that uplift our heritage, honor our leaders, and inspire the next generation to take pride in who they are. Being recognized by the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) through this program reaffirms the importance of this work—and our commitment to continue it with even more purpose.
