Had an amazing time with at the Off Menu LA experience!

I made my way through one of Eater’s biggest LA food events, featuring trending bites and experiences from some of the biggest names in dining.

One of the highlights of the night was stepping into Cathay Pacific’s Gateway to Asia in the garden and atrium. We enjoyed yakitori from Sumibiyakitori Kidori, Peking duck from Ji Rong, and champagne while getting a little taste of Asia right here in Los Angeles. ✈️🌏πŸ₯‚

The event took over the iconic, century-old Tam O’Shanter with food and drinks throughout its rooms, patios, garden, and atrium. From savory bites to sweet treats, there was so much to try!

Thank you Cathay Pacific for having me! βœˆοΈπŸ’š

If you’re looking for one of the best fall day trips in Southern California, head to Oak Glen for apple picking, fresh-pressed cider, warm cider donuts, wood-fired pizza and a seriously impressive apple pie 🍎🍁

Here are 5 things you HAVE to do during apple season:

🍎 1. Pick your own apples at Los Rios Rancho
Walk through the orchards and pick apples straight from the trees! Different varieties are available throughout the season, so what you find can change throughout fall.

🍏 2. Press your own apple cider at Los Rios Rancho
Don’t just drink apple cider β€” make your own! Try the U-Press cider experience and turn fresh apples into cider yourself.

🍩 3. Get the mini apple cider donuts at Snow-Line Orchard
One of Oak Glen’s iconic fall treats! Grab a bag of warm mini cider donuts and pair them with fresh apple cider.

πŸ• 4. Grab wood-fired pizza at Wilshire’s Apple Shed
Take a break from all the sweets with freshly made wood-fired pizza at this charming apple shed.

πŸ₯§ 5. Try the Mile High Apple Pie at Apple Annie’s
You can’t do an apple-season trip without apple pie! Their famous Mile High Apple Pie is piled high with apples and makes the perfect sweet ending to your Oak Glen day.

Which one would you do first β€” apple picking, cider pressing, cider donuts or that Mile High Apple Pie? 🍎πŸ₯§
