When I first started writing, it wasn’t really a “script” so much as dialogue I thought was amusing. But the concept of leaves on the roof was in there from the beginning. It’s not like taking out the trash. It’s that one chore that seems both important and pointless—depending on who is looking at it; it’s also a simple task but actually kind of dangerous since it requires a ladder. It’s something Brandon would resist doing. As for the cabinet door with the screw missing, well, there’s no defense for not doing that haha.
