Crystal Cruises Owes Customers $100M+ In Refunds "This situation was on the horizon for weeks yet travel agents kept selling Crystal Cruises like no tomorrow, eager to get the big commissions for the usually pretty expensive Crystal sailings. Genting MV the owner of Crystal has been teetering on the edge for a long time. Selling these voyages was irresponsible unless the customer really pushed for it after a stern warning. I’m not feeling all too bad for travel agents who are now missing out on their commission payments for the last 1-2 months after selling trips on a dicey line."

Det amerikanske TravelAge West Magazine har vært på oppdagelsesreise i Trøndelag i 2021. En flott beskrivelse av vår matregion 👇❤️ «Unlike Norway's other regions, Trondelag has substantial nature-based industries thanks to its strong agricultural roots. In addition to the globally recognized city of Trondheim, several smaller towns and villages in Trondelag provide high-quality dairy, vegetables, grains and meat to regional restaurants.» Explore Trøndelag Britannia Hotel Visit Norway Destination Røros Rørosrein Matriket Midt European Region of Gastronomy 2022 - Trondheim og Trøndelag Nidarosdomen / Nidaros Cathedral Visit Trondheim
Fantastisk godt skrevet artikkel om matregionen Trøndelag og Trondheim i Amerikanske TravelAge West Magazine, med utrolig flott omtale av både hotellet og Speilsalen ✨ Verdt å lese! Et utdrag fra artikkelen under: An abundance of unique ingredients, combined with the many new and exciting restaurants popping up in recent years, is why Norway's food capital can rightly claim its new crown, European Region Of Gastronomy 2022. Recently Trondelag has been buzzing with pilgrims for a different reason: its cuisine. This region has emerged as an epicenter of gastronomic buzz, quickly becoming one of the most riveting culinary destinations in Europe. Trondelag has substantial nature-based industries thanks to its strong agricultural roots. In addition to the globally recognized city of Trondheim, several smaller towns and villages in Trondelag provide high-quality dairy, vegetables, grains and meat to regional restaurants. Trondheim's most discerning restaurants focus heavily on local fare, including fresh seafood caught in the nearby Trondheimsfjord. Even much of the aquavit — that unique distilled spirit primarily associated with Scandinavia — is produced locally and found in Tronheim's hip nightlife scene. Speilsalen, located in the Britannia Hotel, is a testament to unique Norwegian produce, prepared with care and a creative eye. Speilsalen's dining room is a vision in itself — it is known as the Mirror Hall due to its ornate decor, and it provides a royal backdrop for indulgence. Where To Stay: Britannia Hotel Britannia Hotel is quite literally the grand dame of Norway. This five-star property reclaimed its title after a three-year, multimillion-dollar renovation, reopening in April 2019. Standing elegantly in Tronheim's center, Britannia initially welcomed aristocratic Britons for salmon fishing in 1870 and has been a centerpiece of high society since. Renovations of the property include the Britannia Spa, complete with an indoor pool and ice bath; and the palm court, Palmehaven, the hotel's iconic centerpiece. Oenophiles will appreciate Vinbaren, Britannia's living wine cellar with more than 10,000 bottles. An icon in the culinary scene, Britannia takes pride in sourcing ingredients and working with producers from the greater Trondelag area. Latest on the Crystal Cruises Debacle: A Stain on the Travel Business Here's the latest from the Miami Herald (a more trustworthy source of information than the cruise bloggers/websites or travel media which are in bed with their cruise line advertisers and providers of comped press trips). My question is: who in the media will be following up about the welfare of the onboard crew, whether and when they will be fully compensated as per their contracts, including tips? Cruise line bloggers and posts from passengers always rave about the great onboard service - including that of Crystal's dedicated, hard working passenger facing service staff (whether directly employed by Crystal or third party ship management companies), but somehow thinks their readers interests are limited to reviews of the cuisine or pictures of cabins rather than the welfare of those who make the cruising experience so great).
