Two Texas women have been arrested after allegedly attempting to fly m**hamphetamine and other contraband into a Louisiana federal prison using drones disguised as plastic crows.
Melanie Jean Worthington and Kassy Marie Cole were intercepted by the Grant Parish Sheriff’s Office after they reportedly used the bird decoys to bypass security and deliver packages to inmates.
The elaborate scheme involved drones fitted with black tape, beaks, and eyes to mimic the appearance of common crows from a distance. Taped to the backs of these decoys were hauls of m**h, synthetic ma*****na, mobile phones, and to***co.
Upon their arrest, the pair reportedly told authorities they had been offered a staggering $40,000 to successfully pull off the high-stakes drop-off mission.
Both women now face serious charges, including possession of controlled substances with intent to distribute and bringing contraband into a penal institution.
This case marks the ninth and tenth arrests related to smuggling attempts at this specific facility in 2026 alone. While the plan was certainly creative, it seems these two jailhouse "birds" have finally had their wings clipped.
