Sean Litvak - Proverbs for Leadership

Sean Litvak - Proverbs for Leadership Author of Proverbs for Leadership. Told you're "too much"? You need a harness, not a muzzle. You don't need more hype. You need a harness.

For 35 years I've sold janitorial and facility services, and I'm still in the arena, carrying a quota this week. Along the way, I learned that the trait everyone warned me about ("that mouth of yours is going to get you in trouble") was the raw material God intended to harness, not silence. Proverbs for Leadership is for the misunderstood drivers, the too-loud AND the too-intense-and-quiet, who've

been told to tone it down at work and been eyed with suspicion for their ambition. Faith-anchored, marketplace-tested, and you're welcome here, whatever you believe. Be happy, be well, and be blessed in all you do.

Be Strong & Courageous.

This phrase is echoing in me today.

And I believe it should be echoing in you.

How do lots of people begin the work week?

Anything but strong and courageous.

More like grumbling and blaming others.

Those are not the people I associate myself with.

My people begin the work week differently.

Faithful and steadfastly minded.

Everyone has a choice daily, but especially on Mondays.

Your past doesnโ€™t matter.

What matters is today and how you expect the future.

Most of the time, I choose Strong & Courageous.

A byproduct of that is unwavering & trusting.

But that only works leaning into Godโ€™s strength & not my own.

Yes, I have been posting more from a faith perspective lately.

Would people rather I post from a position of doubt?

Sadly, I know some would.

But for those of you who have read this far, know I am cheering for you.

We all have dreams that we want to achieve.

The only person we need to remind daily is ourselves!

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.โ€

I haven't posted here in some time. That's about to change.

Let's start with this๐Ÿ‘‡

How do I know God wants me to succeed?

I embrace a few Scriptures as a foundation for my belief.

- Romans 2:11 For there is no partiality with God ๐Ÿ‘‰ I have faith God will do for me what He has done for others.

- Matthew 6:33-34 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. ๐Ÿ‘‰ I'm not called to worry about the future. I'm called to seek the life God has for me, His right way of doing life, and then I'll be happy with the results.

๐Ÿค” But what if I don't experience the desired results on my timetable? ๐Ÿ‘‰ Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Faith is a substance, something tangible. Faith isn't "I hope" or "I wish." My faith is evidence of the unseen.

And it's not just me who has embraced faith as how I live. Abraham did too. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Romans 4:20-22 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore โ€œit was accounted to him for righteousness.โ€ ๐Ÿค” Read that middle part again where the verse says "fully convinced."

I'm telling you everything I said to bring us to this statement.

Whatever it is you're believing for, whatever it is you're walking in faith to achieve or experience, whatever that is, get on your knees, ask God for it and what He wants you to do.

Then get up and do it knowing that God will do, and your job is to have that faith, and do what He told you.

Happy Sunday! ๐Ÿ˜€

Read, reread, and read yet again, putting yourself in the position of the person you are sending the text or the email, asking what your tone sounds like.

If you know, you know - the struggle is real!
