Winston The Golden Retriever I am a Golden Retriever who lives in Frankfort, KY with my younger sister, Mia, and my cat, Luna. I love to meet people and help make their day a bit brighter.

Hello, my name is Winston and I am a Golden Retriever. I was born January 30, 2016 at Sonshine Kennel in Indiana. At seven weeks of age, I was brought to my forever home in Frankfort, Kentucky by my people parents, Jennye and Gary Grider. My American Kennel Club registered name is Sonshine Beyond the Moon but everyone just calls me Winston. I have four brothers and four sisters, and one people brother, Andrew. I have completed the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certification and Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. I have also started working toward my Therapy Dog certification and look forward to many years visiting various facilities to help bring a little happiness to others. I look forward to my many adventures ahead.

Happy 10th Birthday to Me, Winston the Golden Retriever! 🐶🎉

Woof woof, everyone! Today, January 30th, marks my big 10th birthday, and I couldn't be more excited to celebrate with my amazing family: my loving Mom and Dad (shoutout to Dad Gary for all the adventures!), my playful sister Mia (who's always up for a golden romp), and my furry feline sibling Luna (who pretends not to love the chaos but secretly does). We're having a paw-some day filled with treats, belly rubs, and maybe a romp or two in the snow!

Looking back on my 10 years, I've had the most incredible life full of tail-wagging adventures. From the day I joined this family in Frankfort, KY, I've been on a mission to spread joy. As a certified Therapy Dog with Love on a Leash, I've visited hospitals, nursing homes like Charlie's Place, schools, and community events, bringing smiles and comfort to so many wonderful people. Whether it's snuggling up to someone who needs a friend, participating in reading programs for kids, or just being a fluffy shoulder to lean on during tough times, those moments have been the highlight of my "dogtor" career!

I've also loved our family outings—swimming sessions that turn into epic splash parties, golden retriever family reunions with my Sonshine relatives where we play fetch and chase until we're all tuckered out, and cozy nights watching shows like On Patrol Live (I'm always on standby to offer therapy to the officers and even the "bad guys"!). Not to mention the countless walks, car rides, and backyard zoomies with Mia and Luna keeping things lively.

To all my wonderful followers here on Facebook—thank you from the bottom of my furry heart for joining me on this journey! Your likes, comments, shares, and messages mean the world to me. You've been there through the puppy days, the therapy certifications, the fun escapades, and everything in between. Here's to many more years of adventures, love, and golden moments together!
