The World Cup is here and Louisville is celebrating!

Festival de Fútbol kicks off the Summer of Soccer at Waterfront Park on Thursday June 11th. It’s free and family friendly, with a live watch party for Mexico vs South Africa at 3pm, plus music, dance performances, food and drink vendors, and youth soccer activations starting at noon.

RSVP and you could win two all inclusive club tickets to a Lou City or Racing Louisville match!

Louisville made history yesterday. 🌹

152 years of Kentucky Derby tradition and it took until 2026 for a woman to finally stand in that winner’s circle as a trainer. Cherie DeVaux did it yesterday right here at Churchill Downs and we could not be more proud to call this city home.

DeVaux started her career at Churchill Downs 22 years ago as an exercise rider. She built her own stable from scratch. And yesterday she saddled Golden Tempo as a 23-1 longshot and watched him come from 18th place to win the Run for the Roses with jockey Jose Ortiz aboard.

After the race she said “I’m glad that I could be a representative of all women everywhere that we can do anything we set our minds to.”

Congratulations to Cherie DeVaux, Jose Ortiz, and Golden Tempo on an absolutely unforgettable Derby 152. Louisville witnessed something special yesterday and we will not forget it. 🏇
