Today we honor Our Lady of Sorrows.

Look at Mary beneath the Cross.

She watched her beloved Son suffer. She watched Him be tortured. She watched Him carry His Cross. She watched Him die.

Her heart was pierced with sorrow, yet she stayed with Him until the end.

And I believe that is something we need to remember today:

Mary understands suffering.

She understands the heart of a mother who is worried about her child.

She understands the person sitting beside a hospital bed.

She understands the person grieving someone they love.

She understands the broken heart, the struggling marriage, the financial burden, the lonely soul, the unanswered prayer, and the person who smiles in public while quietly falling apart inside.

Mary sees you.

You may feel like nobody understands what you're going through, but you can turn to the Mother who stood beneath the Cross.

Bring your sorrow to her.

Ask her to stand beside you, just as she stood beside Jesus, and to lead you to her Son.

🙏 Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for everyone who is hurting today.

Comfort those who are grieving.
Strengthen those who are weak.
Heal those who are wounded.
Protect our children and families.
Intercede for the sick.
Give hope to those who feel hopeless.
And help us remain faithful beneath our crosses.

Mary, Mother of Sorrows, stay with us. Take our pain to Jesus. Teach us to trust Him even when we don't understand.

Today we honor Mary under one of her most tender titles: Our Lady of Sorrows.

Mary stood beneath the Cross and watched her Son suffer.

Imagine the pain of a mother witnessing the suffering of her child—and yet Mary remained faithful. She did not turn away. She stood with Jesus through His Passion, trusting God even when her heart was pierced with sorrow.

That is why I love turning to Mary in difficult moments.

Because Mary understands the tears we don't show anyone.

She understands the mother praying for her children.
She understands the person grieving a loved one.
She understands the heart carrying disappointment, illness, loneliness, fear, or uncertainty.

Whatever cross you are carrying today, bring it to Mary.

Place your sorrow in her hands and ask her to lead you to Jesus.

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for everyone who is suffering today.
Comfort those who are grieving.
Strengthen those who are weak.
Protect our children and families.
Intercede for the sick.
Bring hope to those who feel forgotten.
And help us remain faithful beneath our own crosses, just as you remained faithful beneath the Cross of Jesus.

Mother of Sorrows, pray for us.
Jesus, we trust in You. ❤️

Sometimes we have questions we cannot answer.

We don't know which direction to take.
We don't know what tomorrow will bring.
We feel tired, confused, or uncertain.

But we don't have to walk through those moments alone.

Today, I’m sharing a beautiful prayer from Devotion to the Holy Spirit. This prayer invites us to open our hearts to the Holy Spirit and ask Him to guide, strengthen, enlighten, and renew us.

Maybe the cross you are carrying right now is the very place where God is preparing your victory.”

Today, we celebrate the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

And when we look at the Cross, we see something that looks like defeat.

Jesus was rejected.
Jesus was wounded.
Jesus suffered.
Jesus died.

But the Cross was not the end of His story.

The Cross became the doorway to Resurrection.

And maybe you are looking at something in your own life right now and thinking:

“Why is God allowing this?”
“Why is this taking so long?”
“Why am I suffering?”

I want to remind you today:

Your suffering does not mean God has abandoned you.

Sometimes, we want God to remove the cross.

And sometimes, instead, He gives us the grace to carry it with Him.

Jesus never promised us a life without crosses.

He promised us that He would be with us.

So whatever your cross is today your family, your marriage, your finances, your health, your children, your loneliness, your unanswered prayer:

Don't give up.

Look at the Cross.

The same Cross that looked like the end became the beginning of salvation.

So place your cross beside His Cross today and say:

“Jesus, I don't understand everything I'm going through, but I trust You.”

Because with Jesus, the Cross is never the final word.

The final word is Resurrection.

Jesus, I trust in You.

Amen.

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO FORGIVE? ❤️‍🩹

Today’s Gospel asks us a question that can touch a very deep place in our hearts:

“Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive?”

Peter thought seven times sounded generous.

But Jesus answered:

“Not seven times but seventy-seven times.”
— Matthew 18:22

Jesus is not simply telling us to keep a count of how many times we forgive.

He is inviting us to become people who live by mercy.

Sometimes forgiveness is difficult because the wound was deep.

Sometimes we say, “I have forgiven them,” but every time we remember what happened, the pain comes rushing back.

And sometimes the person who hurt us has never even apologized.

But today Jesus reminds us of something powerful:

We have been forgiven much.

The servant in today’s Gospel was forgiven a debt he could never repay. Yet when he encountered someone who owed him far less, he refused to show the same mercy he had received.

And Jesus asks us to look at our own hearts.

Who am I still holding tightly in the prison of my resentment?

Who do I need to forgive?

What wound am I carrying that Jesus is asking me to surrender to Him?

Forgiveness does not mean pretending that the hurt didn't happen.

It does not mean allowing someone to continue hurting you.

It does not mean there should never be boundaries.

Sometimes forgiveness is a process.

But forgiveness means saying:

“Jesus, I give this person to You.
I give You my pain.
I give You my anger.
I give You what I cannot fix.
Heal my heart and help me to forgive from the heart.”

Today, may we remember the words of the Psalm:

“The Lord is kind and merciful, slow to anger and rich in compassion.”

If God has shown us such mercy, may we learn to extend that mercy to others.

Lord Jesus, give me the grace to forgive.
Heal the wounds I cannot heal myself.
Free my heart from resentment, anger, and bitterness.
Help me to love as You love,
and forgive as You have forgiven me.
Amen.

Who is God placing on your heart today that you need to forgive?

You don't have to tell us their name.
Maybe today, simply whisper their name to Jesus and say:

“Lord, I surrender them to You.”

Your new home needs more than furniture.
You need a spiritual home too.

And remember: wherever you go, Jesus is already there waiting for you.

The final day of our Novena of Surrender to Jesus is here.

Today, I went to the chapel to pray our final Surrender Prayer. And as I sat before Jesus, I found myself thinking about everyone who joined me during these 9 days.

So today, I prayed for YOU.

I prayed that Jesus would meet you exactly where you are.

Whatever you have been worrying about…
Whatever you have been trying to fix on your own…
Whatever situation seems impossible…
Whatever prayer you have been waiting and waiting for…

May you place it into the hands of Jesus.

Jesus, we surrender our families to You.
Our children to You.
Our marriages to You.
Our health to You.
Our finances to You.
Our plans to You.
Our fears to You.
Our future to You.

And Lord, for the things we are still struggling to surrender, give us the grace to let go little by little.

Thank You, Jesus, for bringing us through these 9 days.

And thank YOU for praying with me.

May this not be the end of our surrender, but the beginning of a deeper trust in Jesus.

Jesus, I surrender myself to You.
Take care of everything.

What are you still trying to control?

Sometimes we say, “Jesus, I surrender,” but our hearts are still holding on.

Today, let go.

Give Jesus the situation you keep worrying about. Give Him the person you cannot change. Give Him the future you cannot see. Give Him the problem you don't know how to solve.

You don't need to understand everything.

You don't need to know what tomorrow will bring.

You just need to trust the One who already knows.

Jesus, I surrender myself to You. Take care of everything!

Pray Day 8 with me and place everything into the hands of Jesus.

Jesus, I trust in You!
