God's Got Plans for Us

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:11-12 NIV

It is human nature to be concerned about the future, but know amount of worry can change anything. Jeremiah 29:11-13 gives us a promise from God that he has a plan for each one of us. God has plans for our future, filled with hope and prosperity. If we seek God in our efforts to live holy, we will find him. This plan was meant for the people of Judah when they left Babylon, but it applies to our lives as believers in Jesus Christ.

What Happened?- The people of Judah were thrown out of their homeland and taken against their will to Babylon, where they were subjected to being held captive for 70 years.

What was the purpose? This happened to produce faithfulness from the people of Judah and to teach them that sometimes we have to endure things to strengthen our faith and build our character. Some preachers gave empty promises and words that their exile would be quick. But not Jeremiah, he encouraged them to remain calm and go about structuring their lives. And waiting on God's timing.

Promise from the Most High God- God has plans for Judah as he does for us. Plans for prosperity, plans that no harm will come to them, and plans to give them a future even in their present state of disarray. God is there. But, there is something that Judah must do as well as us they must seek the Lord early and often in prayer and meditation.

Finally, God is not a magician who pulls solutions out of a hat. God is sovereign; he can take care of his children in different locations.
We must trust the process, and we must look for God when we have trials and tribulations. Trust and believe that God will come through and complete his promise to each of us that we may have hope for a successful future through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen

Be safe, be real, be true, and you will be blessed.

Pray with Me

Our God and our Father, we come before you asking that you forgive our sins by omission and commission. Use us, Lord, for your glory, may our lives be a reflection that we have been in the presence of the Most High God. Order our steps in your word, lead and guide us every day. We trust the plans you have for our lives, plans for prosperity and a successful future. Plans so that no harm comes to us. Lord, keep us humble, may we seek your face early and often in prayer and meditation. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen

Good Morning, Words of Relevance, and GHCI

A New Beginning

Except the Lord build a house, they labour in vain that build it. Psalm 127:1 KJV

Starting in ministry at a new church is both a holy privilege and a great responsibility. When the pastor and his wife come forth to the new congregation, they do so not merely as leaders but as servants of the Most High God. Entrusted with shepherding the people of God. Except the Lord build a house, they labour in vain that build it. Psalms 127:KJV. With that being stated, every pastor and their wife must spend countless hours in prayer, obedience to God and faith that God's divine purpose will be fulfilled.

The Calling from God

The calling of a pastor is not a self-appointment but a God appointment and ordained calling. Paul writes Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God Acts 20:28 KJV.
As a pastor given by God to a new congregation, his duties are to preach the word of God in season and out of season when the congregation wants to hear it and when they don't want to hear it. He must also guide the souls of men, women, boys and girls; he must remain humble and lead with Godly wisdom.

The role of the Pastor's Wife

As the pastor's wife, she must minister to the people with kindness, hospitality, and encourage the people through prayer and calm strength. The book of Titus reminds us to live reverently and to be instructors of good things, loving and to exhibit spiritual maturity in the body of Christ.

Partners in Ministry

Together, the Pastor and his wife show unity in ministry to carry out God's vision for the church. Ecclesiastes 4:9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labour. The unity of the Pastor and his wife will give the church strength in leadership and provide a stable foundation in the church. Let all things be done with charity, 1 Corinthians 16, 14 beginning in the home and extending into the church.

Believing God for the Vision

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to your own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge him, and he will direct thy path. Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV. In the book of Jeremiah, we find these words For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you and expected end. When the church begins a new book with a new pastor, the book is filled with purpose, growth and spiritual fruit.

Final
The pastor and his wife embark on a new journey filled with faith, service and love. On the foundation of the Holy Bible and rooted and grounded in the Holy Spirit, driven to lead and guide, to serve and love the people. Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Amen

Pray with me

Father God, we come before you and thank you for the assignment of your people. It is our faithful prayer that this ministry calling is fruitful, that our hearts remain steadfast, and that their lives are a blessing to the church and the glory of God. In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.

Good Morning, WOR and GHCI

A Very Present Helper

See, God has come to rescue me, I will trust in Him and not be afraid, for the Eternal, indeed, the Eternal is my strength and my song. My very own God has rescued me. Isaiah 12:2 Voice

Consider this: do you recall a time when you were at work and unfocused because of other situations in your life, and you made a serious mistake? And yet, God was there, and He saved you? If we take inventory of our lives, there are hundreds of times within our day that God saves us from near disaster. It could be our emotional well-being because of the holiday season, fear, depression, and anxiety have taken up residence in our day-to-day lives.

Explaining Isaiah 12:2

The Lord our Very Present Help- Nothing that we have done or will ever do qualifies us as the source of Salvation. God paid for Salvation with his very life.

Faith over Failures - The Lord God is the source of our salvation; we must learn to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not rely on our own understanding. Read Proverbs 3:5-6

A Period of Testing - Each life has a period of testing by God to build our character, but God is always present to save us. After our testing is completed, we can rejoice that we made it through, and we can turn our fear and anger into rejoicing and praise.

Isaiah 12:2 is a banner for hope in our God for endurance and courage as we pass through life. We can trust and keep hope that God, as the author and finisher of our faith, will always rescue his children. Amen

Be safe, be real, be true, and you will be blessed.

Pray with Me

Lord, God, we come before you with thanksgiving and praise on our lips. We love you, Lord, because in spite of us, you keep showing up and intervening on our behalf. You always make a way out of no way. We do admit that we try to run ahead and do things our way without considering you, God, and meeting you in prayer and meditation. Help us to remain in a state of gratitude and humbleness. So we remain in your will and under your divine protection in Jesus' name we pray. Amen
