Good Evening, Words of Relevance
Seeing Yourself in Positive Light
For You did form my inward parts, You did knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalms 139:13
In today's society, much talk is made about life coaching, and self-help books are in abundance. There are conferences held every week in different cities to motivate people to see themselves in a positive light. However, we must not forget, as Christians, that our primary source for self-help and self-improvement should be the Bible.
God has the Bible, which is full of wonderful things that the Lord has to say about helping us and getting us to see ourselves in a positive light. When we begin to see ourselves in a positive light, we no longer waste time worrying about what people say or think about us. We move our positive energy to have a good character and ensure God is pleased with us. It means that you acknowledge that you are not perfect, you have flaws and shortcomings just like everyone else. But, we have come to realize that as Christians, we are a work in progress that God is not finished with us. We are valuable to God, and while we were still in sin, Christ died for us. Amen

Pray with Me
Father, God, we come before you asking you to abide in us with us and through us. Forgive our sins and cast them into the sea of forgetfulness so they rise not against. Help us not to place so much value on what people in society think about us. Lead us in your word to have a positive self-image. Lord help us to read and believe Genesis 1:27 that you created all of mankind in your image. This places dignity and value in our DNA, our abilities, and our skills are well placed and thought out by you, Almighty God. We are intended to walk with our heads held up high; we are the descendants of the Most High God. In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen, and thank God.
