The Genesis of Social Konnect
The history of Social Konnect is a very modest one. It begins with founder Dr. Keith Graves being asked by the City of Lubbock to work with Lubbock Independent School District as a life coach to at-risk students. Dr. Keith was asked to meet weekly with students at Adkins Middle School, where he encouraged them to walk to the beat of their own sound. Dr. Keith started hearing from the students that they wouldn't amount to anything because of their past or family situation. Not believing that was the reality of their lives, Keith decided to produce a TV talk show where he would interview local business owners who faced similar situations as the students but who have overcome their past to live successful lives. While interviewing local entrepreneurs, Keith begin helping them share their stories in a way that resonated with their customers and the community.
The first TV show was produced by PBS ktxt in West Texas as a 30-minute program. Dr. Keith enjoyed working with local business owners helping them share their stories of humble beginnings to business success. After the program with LISD was canceled, Keith continued helping local business owners, eventually producing 14 episodes for PBS.
After completing his Doctorate in Metaphysics and Ministry, Dr. Keith started preaching at Unity Church of Lubbock. While preaching at Unity, Dr. Keith was offered the opportunity to return to PBS for another 13 episodes but decided to turn it down. Realizing the power of the internet and after putting together several programs to help local businesses in the community where the church met for worship, Dr. Keith decided to convert those programs into strategies that businesses could use to double, triple, and 10x their growth. And Social Konnect was born.
Using the practices of Esoteric Marketing and the power of your story and the internet Social Konnect can reach more people and have a greater influence on the growth of any business. Today, Dr. Keith serves businesses all over the US helping them harness the power of their stories to connect on a deeper level with their clients and customers.
