David Drummond Media David Drummond Media
Journalist & Filmmaker documenting the intersection of extreme weather and rugged terrain. and creator-driven storytelling.

Former TV news figure and Part 107 Pilot, reporting from the road in a specialized 4x4 Jeep chase vehicle. I’m David Drummond — storm chaser, cinematographer, and filmmaker based in West Texas. This page reflects the evolution of my work: moving beyond traditional news assignments into independent, creator-driven storytelling focused on atmospheric intensity, off-road exploration, and high-end visual production. After years documenting severe weather for media outlets, I’m now applying that experience toward more creative, long-form, and cinematic projects. My work spans live storm chasing, curated footage from my private weather archives, and Jeep-based off-road exploration—combining real-world experience with both raw documentation and creative, sometimes unconventional storytelling. I’m also an FAA Part 107 certified UAS pilot. Prints:

Finally the process of my rebranding across multiple platforms I started way back in February is complete! The only piece that has been help up was the name on this page still showing "David Drummond Photography"...until now. I finally managed to get it changed where on July 7 and it now should show you "David Drummond Media".

If you guys only knew the hoops I've been jumping thru for literally months to get this changed and it all seems to stem from my old legacy blue checkmark (aka not paid for). Probably a tiny thing in the grand scheme of things for most people, but I'm stoked about this right now!

TIME SENSITIVE 9:48 PM CDT 4/25/26 Probably no surprise to anyone in Ft Worth, TX right now, but there is likely a strong tornado on the ground just NW of Azle and it's all moving toward Ft. Worth
