🎖️ In honor of Veterans Day, I wanted to share one of my favorite stories I ever had the privilege to tell while reporting for a national network in 2024.

I had the honor of spending the morning with a wonderful group of veterans who gather every week in Homer. I had driven by the sign for years and always wanted to stop in one day to say hello and thank you. The day I visited, they also happened to be dedicating a new cross at the memorial to honor a fellow veteran who had recently passed. What a great group of veterans and what a magical morning that was.

You can visit the memorial today in downtown Homer in Banks County …it’s a beautiful tribute to service, sacrifice, and community.

To all our veterans ….thank you for your courage, your service, and your sacrifice. 🇺🇸

This video was taken around 4PM today (Nov. 10) — the first flakes of the season falling today all around North Georgia! My sister caught this from her home in Clarkesville. 🏔️☃️ In case you are wondering..she feeds the deer and they hang out at her house all the time 😂
