✨ Celebrating Our 2025 Community Impact Award Recipients ✨
The Mountains & Main Community Impact Awards honor the individuals and organizations whose compassion, dedication, and quiet acts of service make Northeast Georgia a stronger, kinder, and more connected place. This year’s honorees remind us that real change doesn’t always come from grand gestures, it often comes from ordinary people doing extraordinary things for others.

🏡 Mary McSherry – Foster Parent, Stephens County
A hero in every sense. Mary opens her home and heart to children in need, offering stability, love, and a place to belong.
💛 Audrey Davenport, Habersham County
Audrey gives her time, talent, and heart to lift up those around her. She is now working to preserve the soul of her childhood neighborhood through art.
🐴 The Healing Farm Foundation, Inc., Fannin County
Rescuing animals and in turn providing animal therapy to at risk kids in Fannin County.
🍃 Project Foxfire Summer Program The Foxfire Museum, Rabun County
Preserving stories, empowering students, and carrying forward a legacy of Appalachian culture through education and creativity.
❤️ Ronnie Ogletree, Chef Volunteer and Founder of the Appalachian Aging Resource Network, Rabun County
A retired firefighter whose steady kindness and willingness to help the aging population have touched many lives.
☀️Emily Herrin – Price to Play, Habersham County
Ensuring every child has the opportunity to participate on the playground, Emily plans to build all inclusive playgrounds so ALL kids can have fun!
🧸 Ansleigh Sherlin – Ansleigh’s Cozy Closet, Habersham County
Founded from the heart, Ansleigh provides comfort items and necessities to families in need
💙 Melanie & Roger Rosdahl – The Killmon Gallery, The Killmon Foundation, White County
Turning grief into generosity, the Rosdahls honor their friends’ legacy through art and scholarships.
☕ 1 Million Cups Northeast Georgia 1 MC Clayton, Rabun County
Creating a space where entrepreneurs connect, learn, and support one another—fueling innovation and community-driven growth.
🥫 Molly Willard – Molly's Helping Hands Food Pantry , Banks County
Meeting hunger with dignity, Molly ensures families have access to food, hope, and a caring hand with her food pantry in Banks County.
Each of these recipients embodies what it means to show up, lean in, and make a difference. Their efforts ripple far beyond what we can see, inspiring all of us to find ways—big or small—to love our neighbors well.
