Tricia had been avoiding her home as much as possible.

She is a single mother with two daughters and was taking every chance she could to get out of the house.

You're probably wondering why..
Building Goodness Foundation reached out to us and explained that because of the health hazard of the mold in her house, she didn't like to be there.

Mold spots were showing up all over her house. So, BGF asked us to replace the roof so they could get in her house and clean up the mold.

So we did just that, we took our crew to Schuyler, Virginia (yes, where the Walton's was filmed) and got right to work.

The damage was more than we expected. There were huge holes in her roof, the pipe boots were all messed up, and the chimney flashing was ruined amongst other things.

We ripped up the old shingles and boards and found where the leaks were happening, causing the mold damage.

We replaced the boards, vent caps, and pipe boots along with a beautifully colored, brand new roof that Tricia picked out.

William's roof was destroyed by a tree... but that wasn't the worst of it.

A little after we replaced his roof along with Purple Heart Homes and Owens Corning Roofing his home tragically burned down to ashes, completely destroyed.

The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association started a Go Fund Me for them and they will be placing a new home in the same spot soon!

This roof was nearly 80 years old… and it had been leaking for years.

When we learned that Sloamie’s elderly son had been climbing up there himself just to try and help his mom, we knew this wasn’t just another roofing job.

The roof had major damage...rotting boards, layers of old material, even an aluminum coating that was never meant for this type of roof. It needed more than a patch. It needed a fresh start.

So through Cenvar Gives, we stepped in and replaced the entire roof, completely free of charge, so her cousin could keep the $5,000 she had put together.

Our crew got to work and finished it off with beautiful green shingles that completely transformed the home.

Sloamie was incredibly sweet and so grateful… but honestly, we’re the ones who feel grateful. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.
