The proposed Gateway development was meant to meet a local need. Instead, it has become a dispute over Moore County’s growth. On Tuesday, the developer will again appear before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a site plan review.

Meet our new middle school football coach:

Logan Jean graduated from Athens State University with a degree in Physical Education. He also holds a K-12 Computer Science endorsement and currently teaches Computer Science at Lynchburg Elementary. This will be his second year in Moore County.

“Moore County feels like home to me because of my family's ties to the community. I enjoyed being part of this school system and helping coach both the middle school and high school football programs this past season. I'm excited and looking forward to a great season!” - Logan Jean

There was a time when J.B. Kirk meant whiskey in Woodbury. Then Tennessee went dry, and the bottle disappeared. Now, more than a century later, his great-great-grandsons have brought it back – with a Tennessee-made bourbon shaped by old family records, a wheated mash bill, and one wild whiskey history.

Two great-great-grandsons have revived the spirit of J.B. Kirk with a bourbon rooted in the family record.
