❄️ SNOW CHANCES LATER THIS WEEK? ❄️
I’m closely watching an arctic cold front expected to move through Southern Middle Tennessee on Wednesday. Along and behind this front, model data has consistently hinted at some moisture lingering as much colder air settles into the region.
Because of that, a few snowflakes may be possible.

Before we go any further, it’s important to be very clear about what we DON’T know yet:
• The exact timing of when the cold air arrives
• How well that cold air overlaps with the available moisture
• Whether anything could actually accumulate
• What, if any, impacts we could see
Systems like this are very delicate around here. Snow in our part of Tennessee usually requires several ingredients to line up almost perfectly, and we’re still a few days out.

If this turns into anything worth talking about, it would most likely be a light event, and the best chance would favor higher elevations of the Cumberland Plateau (Sewanee, Monteagle, Tracy City, Altamont).

Right now, this is firmly in the “something to watch” category, not something to plan around. There is still a lot to figure out over the next few days, but I’ll be watching trends closely and keeping you updated!
