Maaaannnnn.
I am so pleased to be able to witness the special moment of my brotha receive his Black Belt last night at
Being able to capture a moment in a photo is something that stays forever.
Jeff is the main driver in getting me to come to and stay in the Kindred Family.
After we sat down for a podcast we bonded over some bourbon and we talked about Jiujitsu and mental health. I had no idea the impact that this journey would have on my life.
When we lost our daughter Jeff and his with showed up with the full support of the kindred school. I cannot think of a better man. He helped me learn so much about morality and empathy.
-
To be able to capture a picture with Jeff is so special because the environment Jeff creates around him harbors great relationships between practitioners.
-
Congratulations Jeff I am so thankful for your stewardship, care, guidance, advice, bonding, the hugs and the love that you show everyone in that school. Your tenacity to return after severe experiences is what has inspired me many times to keep going regardless of physical or emotional pain.

A new phase of your journey is just beginning and I can’t wait for your future!

is the center of my universe. I see her in all that I do and my past is equally filled with her as my future. One lifetime is not enough to repay the love she has shown me.
-
gave my wife and I the most comforting hug and support on our arrival last year knowing what Rhiannon and I recently experienced. She does more for others especially Veterans than could ever be understood.
-
has become more of a sister than a best friend to Rhiannon over the years and I am forever grateful for the relationship they have cultivated over the years.
-
is one of my top 5 favorite people I served with. I consider it a mandatory obligation to see him when I travel to the area. I can never thank him enough for helping me learn during my time on the USS Theodore Roosevelt.
-
Elliott is more of a brother than a friend to me. I didn’t think it at the time but he is one of the reasons that I am tied to and have such an appreciation for their approach to mental health and wellness. It perfectly aligns with my own.
-
The last one in this picture is . I have not always had a good relationship with him however I am learning the importance of self love and healthy boundaries. By attending MVP sessions I have strengthened my relationship to myself and learned the value of forgiveness and healing.

If you’re looking to restructure your life after service, don’t. Just try and figure out who you are beyond the uniform and find your tribe. It’s worth it. You are also worth it!

Another highlight of the 2025 Gala was being able to meet one of the Pillars of my childhood

Not only was Bully Beatdown entertaining but an excellent lesson in humility.

Mr. Miller was great to chat with about some standout athletes in the Seattle area and I look forward to reconnecting in the future in Cali.

Last night I got to see someone who has achieved levels of greatness that only year after year of consistency can bring. Symmetry, grace and personality on the stage were only a few of the many qualities that made him stand out.

is one of the most iconic people to ever step on stage and growing up watching him compete was inspirational beyond belief.

Seeing him at the Gala was such a blessing. This organization is the perfect place for any veteran or athlete to regain the teammates lost after the end of service, the last game or last show.
