🎣 We launched on Lake Erie looking for one thing...

SMALLMOUTH.

I hit the water with Brian, Rich, and Zeke expecting to chase bronzebacks all day. We covered water, threw a Megabass Vision 110 Perch, and searched some promising areas... but the smallies never really showed up.

What we did find was a pile of aggressive white bass that absolutely crushed the jerkbait.

The funniest part? Every time I started catching fish, I happened to be on the phone with my wife. According to her, the reason I was catching fish was because I was talking to her. 😂

At this point, I can't really argue with the results.

FLORIDA MAN DETAINED AFTER HOLDING “UNOFFICIAL BASS PRO TOURNAMENT” INSIDE STORE AQUARIUM

ORLANDO, FL — A Florida man was reportedly detained after police say he attempted to organize a full fishing tournament inside the Bass Pro Shops display aquarium, complete with entry fees, leaderboard rankings, and a folding camping chair.

Witnesses say 44-year-old Jason Carter spent nearly two hours near the indoor tank inviting strangers to compete in what he called:
“The Indoor Classic.”

According to customers, Carter allegedly handed out handwritten rules stating:
• artificial bait only
• no splashing spectators
• and “winner gets bragging rights and possibly beef jerky.”

Shoppers claim the event gained momentum after several children began loudly announcing fish sightings while one elderly man reportedly asked where to register.

Employees say Carter became increasingly serious after hooking a small bass using what appeared to be a modified trout lure purchased inside the store minutes earlier.

One witness told police:
“He kept whispering ‘this is what the founding fathers wanted.’”

Authorities say the situation escalated when Carter allegedly attempted to weigh the fish using the seafood scale from the camping section before employees intervened.

Police reports claim Carter argued:
“If there’s fish and rods in the same building, legally this becomes a sporting event.”

Several customers reportedly booed security as Carter was escorted out of the store still demanding officials:
“announce the final standings.”

Bass Pro Shops confirmed the aquarium fish were unharmed but “visibly stressed.”
