REFURBISHED Hard Drives Cost HOW MUCH Now?! 😳

I went looking to expand my RAID storage and figured I’d grab the same refurbished hard drives I’ve bought before.

Then I saw the price.

The SAME refurbished drive went from about $95 to $339.99.

Not new.
Not upgraded.
Still REFURBISHED.

Apparently expanding my RAID now requires raiding my bank account first.

Apparently becoming a handyman means I stopped baking.
Absolutely not. 😂
This is ONE request: cinnamon pecan raisin, lemon blueberry rolls, a classic loaf, and plenty of sourdough chaos.

I’m not a handyman now.
I’m a handyman ALSO.
STUpendous Sourdough is still very much alive. STUpendous Services just gave me another way to stay busy.

I MISS YOU, Barney.

I’m doing okay. I miss him TERRIBLY, and I still don’t know exactly what honoring his memory is going to look like.

But I’ll figure it out.

In the meantime, I’m STILL baking. I’m STILL building.

And things are STILL STUpendous.

Just in a different way.

Today was a rough day.

Last night Barney declined very quickly, and today I had to make the decision to let him go.

It was time.

He is no longer hurting, and I know that matters more than how badly I wanted another day with him.

Barney’s impact on my life and this home was enormous. He will not be soon forgotten.

And because life apparently has a strange sense of timing, flowers arrived today from a friend to celebrate 3,001 days without a drink and to commemorate Barney.

One enormous milestone. One enormous loss. Same day.

My big, big, baby boy, Barn Barn. ❤️

Today is day 3,000 since my last drink.

I wasn’t really planning on connecting that milestone with another Barney update, but here we are.

After taking him to the vet a few days ago and finding out what we found out, I honestly didn’t think he would make it past Sunday.

But Barney apparently has his own schedule.

I didn’t think I was going to have these extra days with him, so I’m trying very hard to appreciate every one of them.

He’s still here. And today, that’s enough.

Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop being productive.

I had plans for the day, but Barney wasn’t doing well and needed my attention. Plans can wait. The people and animals we love sometimes can’t.

He gave me a little scare, so send up a prayer for him if you would. ❤️🐾
