Early morning sunrises 🌅

Some of them are still mid shed of their hair and looking a bit shaggy, but oh what a blessing to not need a shear 😂.

The ram lambs are becoming a bit boisterous and will need to be split up very soon I can see.

A few would make for beautiful sires for new flock! Hit us up before they are gone.

As our final ewe has lambed I sat down to update the books and look at final numbers.
17 ewes lambed, our largest number to date. We did it in two groups which felt long, but with our lambing space constraints it did work. 27 bouncy lambs. That doesn’t average out as well as most would like (twins each would be most ideal)but of our second group of 11, 7 were first time Moms. I’d much rather they focus all their energy on that one and doing it well. We only had to intervene for a little while with PandyPaw a first timer with twins, otherwise no bottle babies 🙏🏼
This is our 5th year lambing and each year I try to reflect on how it went and what I want to do differently. So thankful for another successful lambing season on the PVD 🤍

BLAIRE finished off lambing for the season! Only 143 days after our first winter lamb🫣🤪

Glad to be done, and as one would imagine I had lost all concern at this point, no frantically checking the camera and all hours of the day. Nope, she was in a lambing jug, but Jimmy come home and she had already had her, she was up drinking and well dried off. Thanking out lucky stars as BLAIRE may be the flightiest ewe in the flock 😣
