b-roll can really be this simple, even if you don’t know what it is…

It’s the simple act of taking out your camera, hitting record and getting short clips to use for reels or stories. Give these tips a try when you go to capture on your phone:

1. Find the natural light & CLEAN YOUR LENS (the most important part)
2. Keep your clips short: between .02-.05 seconds is great - and no it’s not too short…
3. Switch up your angles instead of filming everything the same way. Get creative here!
4. Capture what you’re already doing instead of trying to create a “moment” every time you go to film.

Capturing footage for your business seems daunting, but if you weave it into your daily/weekly routine, you’ve just started your content bank to pull from… without the stress of starting from scratch. 📸

I think we’ve made “consistency” way more complicated than it needs to be…

There are weeks when I’m ahead on content and everything feels organized. And there are weeks when posting for my business gets squeezed somewhere between client work, life, and everything else going on. Both can still be consistent.

I don’t believe your social media routine should require you to rearrange your entire life around it. It should work with the time, energy, and brain space you realistically have.

Figure out what that looks like for you and let that be enough. Social media is supposed to support your business. Not run your life! 🙌🏼
