Missing, possible runaway. Eric James Turner Jr., 12 years old, 5 ft tall, approximately 160 lbs ,brown eyes black hair. Last seen wearing light gray shorts and no shirt. Eric walked away from his home located at 265 SE Bennett Street, Madison at approximately 3:30 pm on Monday, the 1st day of June, 2026. Possibly seen around 5:00 pm in the area of Hilltop Apartments Complex. If seen please contact the Madison Police Department at 850-973-5077.

Eric has been located safe and is being returned to his Father.

Friday, May 8, was bittersweet at the Madison County Extension Office as 4-H Agent Beth Moore celebrated her retirement. Moore served Madison County’s children for more than 34 years: 10 as an instructor, 17 as a principal and seven and a half as 4-H Agent.

Valor Lasseter is recovering from a successful surgery to remove a rare brain tumor. However, the procedure required the removal of his pituitary gland, which will result in the need for life-long assistance and care.

A fundraiser takeout is set for Saturday, June 6, at Four Freedoms Park, in Madison.
