There are some really exciting things happening behind the scenes at LLS right now, and I’m feeling so grateful for everyone who continues to support this work. Every message, referral, collaboration, and kind word fuels our mission. 💛

We’re building something rooted in care — not just for our clients, but for the people who help bring this vision to life.

Our goal has always been bigger than just consulting. We’re creating a network of local, values-aligned, and internally trained consultants who can support Madison and Dane County’s small businesses in thriving — sustainably, inclusively, and with heart.

To get there, we’re looking for our next Operations Assistant to join our team!

📍 Based in Madison, WI
🕒 ~10 hours/month (W2, $20/hr)
💻 80% virtual with 1–3 in-person meetings or events per month
💫 Includes on-the-job training, mentorship, and space to grow with us

This is a great fit for someone who’s organized, people-first, and excited about building something meaningful alongside a q***r-, neurodivergent-, and woman-owned business.

💥 The first 20 weeks of this pregnancy nearly broke me.

Constant nausea. Prenatal depression. Exhaustion that didn’t care how capable or organized I was.

And still—I had to be a mother, a wife, a friend, a business owner, a graduate student.

I’m 22 weeks now. Just a few weeks out of the fog. And even in it, I:

✨ Signed new clients
✨ Transitioned my IC into a W2 employee (this week!)
✨ Finished my first year of my MBA
✨ Let go of what could wait: social media, networking, perfection
✨ Took two full weeks off when I hit my limit
✨ Increased my employee’s hours—because I’d rather invest in this business than lose it
✨ Am on track to hit 6-figures in gross revenue by EOY
✨ Kept going—not because I had to, but because I believe in what I’m building

And I could do all this because:
💛 I’ve built a client base that values me, not just my output
💛 I’m surrounded by driven, mission-minded women who reminded me why I do this
💛 I have a husband who took on the bulk of parenting and housework so I could rest

This isn’t a hustle story. It’s a reminder: capacity ebbs, but values don’t.

If you’re in a hard season—pregnancy, burnout, grief, transition—I see you. You’re not behind. The work you're doing in your body, your life, your relationships, who you are becoming—it all matters.
