Women in Music Week started on a powerful note! 🎶🔥

The Hip Hop Edition at Tip Top Café was filled with incredible energy, bold performances, and women who commanded the stage. Radical Affairs Magazine came ready with eight special copies of our first issue, each personally signed by our cover artist, Dizzy D. Having those copies there felt like a full-circle moment—celebrating the stories we have already shared while standing among even more stories waiting to be told.

ACSquared Jewelry was also set up, bringing adornment, connection, and creativity into the space. Being able to represent both of my businesses in a room filled with music, culture, and community was absolutely amazing.

This was only the beginning of Women in Music Week, but whew…Huntsville started it off RIGHT! Thank you to everyone who performed, supported, purchased, connected, and made the night unforgettable. ❤️

LIVE ON THE MOUNTAIN II | ZAMI MARÉ

Zami Maré’s performance felt like a conversation.

There was an ease to the way she moved through her set at Live on the Mountain II. Each song flowed naturally into the next, but it was what happened between the music that made the performance feel personal.

She talked with us.

She gave us pieces of herself, created context for the music, and then allowed the songs to carry the rest of the conversation.

Nothing felt rushed or overly produced. It felt intentional, comfortable and connected.

By the end, you didn’t feel like you had simply listened to a collection of songs. You felt like you understood the artist behind them just a little more.

And Zami… that leads us to one question:

When are we getting more music? 👀🎶

Because that conversation definitely isn’t finished.

Then came Chloi… and somehow, the mountain felt a little warmer.

Sultry. Bubbly. Playful. But underneath all of that was something that felt like an invitation.

Like a porchlight left on.

Because sometimes friendship is simply knowing there is somewhere you can land. Someone you can call. A light still burning when life gets heavy and you don’t want to carry it alone.

Chloi brought that feeling to Live on the Mountain II.

She gave us softness without shrinking, sensuality without losing the joy, and an energy that made you feel like maybe you’d known her longer than one performance.

And isn’t that what music can do?

Turn strangers into familiar faces.

Turn a stage into a front porch.

And remind us that sometimes we all just need a friend.
