It's like this place was designed just for these two. Mason loves all the games while Miles plays hard on the play place.

Of course they both tried out each section, but it was obvious what their preferences were! And of course we enjoyed some pizza and a cookie dish as well 😋

Chuck E. Cheese's is always a win 🏆

We went to the zoo!

While we had a good time, I could tell it wasn't the boys' FAVORITE thing to be doing 😆

Mason really enjoyed the first 30-45 minutes of looking at animals. After that, it was hit or miss. He either chilled in the wagon or trailed along behind us.

Miles started off a little rough. He wanted to wander freely and did NOT like hearing no 😂 so the first 20-25 minutes was a lot of crying for him.

We eventually found our groove. The grandparents took Miles to the playground while Mason and I continued around the zoo. We eventually met back up.

After both boys got tired, it was easier to stay together and look at each animal 🤣

Oh, and Mason dropped his stimming toy on the absolute last enclosure we were at before leaving. And it was the Big Cat area. By pure luck, there was one random alpaca enclosure and that was where he dropped it 😆 the zoo staff was nice enough to retrieve it for us or it would have been a long ride home 😛

While it was a fun day and I'm so glad they had that experience, the zoo is not a place we'll be running back to all that soon.

The past few months have felt like a blur — aligning pediatricians, therapists, insurance, co-op schedules, and somehow keeping our daily rhythm intact.

All three boys are in therapy right now:
Mason — OT, PT, and speech.
Miles — speech/feed (and being reevaluated for OT).
Maddox — PT.

It’s a lot.

Some days I wish our calendar was full of practices and games and recitals instead of evaluations and progress notes.

But this is what our “busy” looks like right now.

And I believe with my whole heart that one day we’ll look back at this season and see it for what it was — a foundation being built.

If you’re in a therapy-heavy season too, just know you’re not alone in it. 🤍
