​Here are 19 super helpful tips on how to create successful social media marketing for your personal training business.

1. Identify Your Goals for Your Successful Social Media Marketing
What does successful social media marketing look like for your personal training business? Make sure you have a clear plan that's specific. Avoid general goals like "get more clients" and instead make an objective like try to lock down 3 clients this month.

2. Identify Your Audience
If you're just starting out, you need to know your audience so you understand how you can reach them. It's important to find out who you're trying to target so you can direct your social media posts right to them.​

3. Select the Best Platforms
Think about where your target audience or potential client is, and get really good at that platform. For example, if you're great with training younger clients, you might want to look into Snapchat.

4. Employ a Qualified Manager
If you have the budget or if you really find yourself struggling to get more followers on social media, you might want to consider hiring a social media manager. Understanding and excelling at social media is a skill that not everyone understands or can master.

5. Deliver Consistently
To really have a successful social media page, you need to make sure that you're posting and engaging constantly. Being up to date and in the know is key to connecting with your audience.

13. Post 4-6 Times per Day

Try posting different kinds of content during the day. People love pictures because they take up a lot of space, but they are often not viewed or liked as much as text or meme posts. Mix up the kind of posts you do to keep all different types of people engaged.

14. Try to Get Your Posts in Front of Big Audiences to Catch On
You want your posts to do well so your audience will grow and you'll get more clients. There are six things that make posts successful; social currency, triggers, emotion, public, practical value, and stories.

What this means is people will share your material if they feel they get something out of it, but sharing motivational messages can even be more popular so long they feel they can help their peers by passing on your message.

15. Find Your Voice and Use the Right Tools to Express It
Before you post anything on social media, you need to have a clear vision of what your message and style is. This can be a quick thought of what kind of information you want to post and what represents you as a trainer.

16. Post Before and After Pictures
One of the best storytelling lessons is to show and not tell, and this applies to your personal training business. Don't just tell people your training has great results and your client's losing weight and gain lean muscle, show it.

17. Use Hashtags
Hashtags are a great way to get people to find you and your profile on social media, especially on Instagram and Twitter. Try out different relevant hashtags with each post and see which drive the most traffic. Try to find the most popular hashtags for fitness and personal training.

18. Provide Your Followers with Quality Information So They Want to Follow You
To get followers on any social media platform, you need to give people information and motivation they can't find anywhere else. You want to post inspiring pictures, quotes, and tips that fit your training program. Maybe you're debunking myths or have such great fitness secrets that your followers want to share with their friends or family.

The more valuable the information that you share on your page, the bigger chance your posts will be shared and you'll get new devoted followers who will want to keep coming back to your page.

19. Don't Give Up
When you look at your metrics you can see how successful you've been so far and what you need to work on. Look at your numbers critically to determine if one kind of post gets more engagement than another and see if this is based on certain days or times of the day.
