🙏 THE LAST MASS OF PADRE PIO

On September 22, 1968, Padre Pio celebrated what is traditionally remembered as his final Mass at Santa Maria delle Grazie in San Giovanni Rotondo, only days after the 50th anniversary of his stigmata.

His body was exhausted, but he still went to the altar to offer the Eucharistic sacrifice. The next morning, September 23, Padre Pio died. His final words are traditionally reported as:

“Jesus… Mary…” ✝️

His earthly ministry ended where his whole life had been centered: at the altar, united with Christ.

May his example remind us that faith is not only lived in moments of strength. Sometimes holiness means remaining faithful when the body is weak, the road is painful, and the Cross feels heavy.

🙏 OUR LADY OF LA SALETTE ✝️🕊️

On September 19, 1846, two shepherd children, Maximin Giraud and Mélanie Calvat, reported seeing the Blessed Virgin Mary at La Salette, France.

According to their account, Mary appeared weeping and spoke about prayer, repentance, Sunday worship, and returning to God. Her message continues to invite Christians to examine how they place God at the center of their lives.

The story of La Salette is remembered as a call to prayer, conversion, and keeping the Lord’s Day holy. 🙏

🙏 COULD THIS REALLY BE THE VIRGIN MARY? ✝️

A mysterious image has sparked questions among people of faith: could the unusual figure captured in the photograph resemble the Virgin Mary?

While the image is intriguing, its origin and interpretation should be approached carefully. What appears in a photograph is not, by itself, proof of a supernatural apparition.

For Catholics, the deeper invitation remains the same: turn our hearts toward Mary and, through her, toward Christ. 🕊️❤️

🙏 OUR LADY OF ZEITOUN ✝️🕊️

From 1968 to 1971, reports of luminous apparitions of the Virgin Mary drew huge crowds to St. Mary’s Church in Zeitoun, Cairo, Egypt.

Witnesses from different religious backgrounds gathered to see the phenomenon, which was reportedly observed repeatedly above the church. The events became one of the most widely reported Marian apparitions of the 20th century. 🌟

For many believers, Zeitoun remains a powerful reminder of faith, prayer, hope, and unity.

In 2009, Antonia Raco traveled to Lourdes in a wheelchair after years of suffering from primary lateral sclerosis. She later reported experiencing a dramatic recovery.

After years of medical review, the International Medical Committee of Lourdes concluded in November 2024 that her recovery was sudden, complete, lasting, and medically unexplained. In April 2025, the Bishop of Tursi-Lagonegro formally recognized the case as the 72nd Lourdes miracle.

For Catholics, Lourdes remains a place of prayer, hope, and trust in God. 🕊️💙

Filipina tennis star Alex Eala has spoken about the support and prayers she receives during her matches. In a 2026 interview, she said she tries to approach tournaments “match by match, round by round.”

During her Dubai run earlier in 2026, Eala also spoke about thinking of the many Filipinos praying for her while competing under pressure.

Her journey continues to inspire young athletes in the Philippines, while she proudly carries her country’s identity onto the international tennis stage. 🇵🇭🎾

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has publicly supported keeping crucifixes in Italian classrooms. In October 2019, during a debate over whether crucifixes should remain in schools, Meloni said she supported having them displayed in classrooms.

The issue is part of a much older Italian debate about religious freedom, secularism, cultural heritage, and the role of Christian symbols in public institutions. Italy’s legal history on the matter is also significant: in 2011, the European Court of Human Rights’ Grand Chamber ruled that displaying crucifixes in Italian classrooms did not, by itself, constitute religious indoctrination.

Meloni’s position reflects her broader emphasis on Italy’s historical and cultural traditions, while critics of classroom crucifixes have argued that public schools should remain religiously neutral. The debate continues to touch questions of identity, tradition, and secular government.

✝️ THE TWO JOSEPHS: GUARDIANS AT CHRIST’S BIRTH AND DEATH

Two men named Joseph stand at important moments in the earthly story of Jesus.

👶 Joseph, the husband of Mary, protected and cared for the infant Jesus, obeying God’s guidance and guarding the Holy Family.

🕊️ Joseph of Arimathea came forward after Jesus’ crucifixion and asked for His body. He helped provide a tomb for Christ’s burial.

From the beginning of Jesus’ earthly life to His burial, the name Joseph appears in two powerful moments of the Gospel story.

🙏 A 101-YEAR-OLD WOMAN RECEIVES CATHOLIC BAPTISM

A remarkable moment of faith took place in Presidente Prudente, Brazil, where Hayako Morimoto, 101, received Catholic baptism on September 13 at the Santuário Nossa Senhora do Carmo, locally known as Igreja Maristela.

The baptism was celebrated by Fr. Edcarlos Amorim Moreira during a public liturgy. Photographs from the sanctuary showed Morimoto receiving the sacrament at the baptismal font.

✝️ Baptism is the first sacrament of Christian initiation, and the Catholic Church welcomes people to receive it at any age.

Her story is a beautiful reminder that it is never too late to begin a new journey of faith. 🙏
