Quiet Thunder Publishing

Quiet Thunder Publishing Publishing since 2006 Quiet Thunder publishes fiction and non-fiction print and digital books as well as audiobooks.

Quiet Thunder Publishing is also noted as the producer of all books and materials for the KISS - Keep It Super Simple - culinary line. Quiet Thunder Publishing first opened its doors in 2005 as a resource for emerging ebook authors. Originally based only in Manchester, New Hampshire in the USA, publishing “on the Q.T.” caught on quickly. Soon Quiet Thunder expanded to Naples, Florida, and Columbus

, North Carolina, and added print book production to its menu. Then came the evolution into producing specialty gift packages focused on a few particular books. In 2010, Quiet Thunder also gained the exclusive rights to publish the emerging line of KISS - Keep It Super Simple cookbooks. All recipes are designed to be prepared easily at home, capturing the essence of gourmet and restaurant flair, without the long list of ingredients or complex preparation steps. Readers are also invited to submit their own original recipes or super simple adaptations for inclusion in future cookbooks by emailing: [email protected] (Submissions become the property of Keep It Super Simple, but authors try to provide proper credit to those who create and submit recipes. They suggest including your name and geographic region as well as any interesting information as to when, where or why the recipe was created or adapted.) Recipes from various Quiet Thunder publications also often appear on the www.GoodLiving123.com website. Audiobook production rounded out the services offered in 2017. Titles appear wherever audiobooks are sold. For submission consideration: [email protected]

Crepe Myrtle Calmness

Mama said there would be days like this. You know, the sort where it seems nothing goes right. Sometimes they come all too fast, furiously, and frequently. I try to just breathe and count my blessings. One of them is Nature’s abundant beauty. For the last few weeks here in western North Carolina, the crepe myrtles have started blooming. (This is not the groundcover sort, but the trees that remind me of the mountain laurel back in New Hampshire… but on thousands of steroids.)...

Music for the 4th!

The huge annual carnival happened for the kiddos... ...plus a long, walking street of vendors. Of course, Sir Ronald and I chose the annual July 4th band line-up, which included 3 of our local favorites. Whenever Reddog and friends are performing, we know we’re gonna love their rockin’ blues. And the Blues Underground features a fantabulous female lead singer, Stacey Brooks....

Blessings Abound!

How sweet it is to share how marvelously Mom is faring! We just got to share her 96th birthday celebration! My sister Deborah is visiting from Hawaii and made Mom a gorgeous white lei from chrysanthemums and mini carnations. Sir Ronald took us all to one of Mom’s favorite restaurants… the Lucky Lobster in Dunedin, Florida. As you can imagine, a tremendous time was had by all in celebrating her birthday week!...

Happy 250th Birthday, USA!

In 1976, for the nation’s Bicentennial, I was traveling with the “I Like the US of A” National Touring Company. Michael Davids directed, choreographed, and performed. I joined in the song and dance, and did PR. Karl Weber performed and added his photography skills. Plus, our tour bus featured the stars… the 14 children, ages 8 up through teens. Making audiences smile, we sang and danced to uplifting songs....

Try to Be Patient

"Holding on to anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die." Siddhartha Gautama, known as the Buddha (6th or 5th century BC) Founder of Buddhism Try to be patient with “haters” who can only express negativity, divisiveness, and angry rhetoric. When we humans get stuck in angry mode, the struggle back to awareness, compassion, and open-mindedness can be a difficult journey.
