Do you know what a Doo-Dad is? ADoo-Dad is available at the at 206 E Kellogg St Wichita , Kansas. What the heck is it? A beef filling surrounded by a ball of mashed potatoes, breaded, deep fried and served with a little , mushroom gravy and served with green beans. It is only available as a special. I was haven’t breakfast otherwise I would have tried it. It is a massive ball of things I love! What is a bierock, that is for another post.

Have you ever had a empanada?
If I would be in Wichita today I would be having a empanada from Argentina’s Empanadas. Today, Monday the empanadas are just $4 and they have a beautiful new patio to dine at 3700 E Douglas Ave Wichita, KS.
The Sisters first met Carolina and Chad the owners of the extraordinary food truck and restaurant while they were on the Food Network season 17 Great Food Truck Race in Panama City Beach Florida.
Wow! They cook up deliciousness!
I tried the creamy corn filled empanada and a chicken cilantro one at our opening night of the TBEX Summit America 2025 - Wichita, Kansas at the Exploration Place. Yummy!

Do you remember a trick or treat candy from your youth?
The other day after having some taffy. I got to thinking about my days as a manager at retail store. We would sell bags and bags of for Halloween. They were a taffy like candy with a dab of peanut butter inside. When I was a kid they were not my favorite to get in my trick or treat bag but now I was craving that “nostalgia”.
Did a little research, they still make them. Picked up a bag at the local Fleet Farm, they are about halve the size they use to be. The wrapper is no longer the same wax paper type. They were harder. Microwaved for a few seconds they softened up.
The nostalgia I craved was fleeting. Oh well, memories can not always be relived. 😂 that is probably a good thing.

It was fun to see Jermane again of Harmony Charters and Travel at our TBEX Summit America 2025 - Wichita, Kansas. They give such excellent service.

This is what i wrote two years ago:
You never know who you might meet on your travels. Meeting people, hearing their stories, sometimes finding comfort, sometimes finding inspiration is one of the things Suzy loves to do when traveling.
Jermane is one of those memorable people. Shuttling our sometimes noisy group of Writers around to different places to tour and experience Wichita. Our experience with Harmony Charters, a Luxury Charter Service, cut through the chatter. We listened to a man of faith, a man blessed with the ability to write music and sing. Jocelyn in our group from Omaha was the first to reveal this talent because she had taken the time to look through the gift bag he had awaiting on each of our seats. A gift bag filled with unassuming thoughtfulness; a water, a Snapple, some lifesavers and bubble gum, information on and info on his music. The business is a local family business with
Divan his brother also driving for us.
