The feeling of travel

Various moments from the first 24 hours of my current London trip in no particular order.

My setup for the travel video. Something wider than 28mm would’ve been better tbh.

London from above. Made the entire flight with no music, entertainment, or power worth it!

Passing the time mostly by making random reflections on the walls.

I think the Hogwarts Express is somewhere around here.

Is this trip the change I’m looking for?

Maybe, maybe not. We’ll have to see. What I do know is this change of environment was something I really needed for a while and I’ve been wanting to travel again. Curious to see where London brings me.

Mind > matter

If you told me even just a year ago that one day I’d be living the life I always wanted, I would think you were crazy. Sometimes, your dream life is just a change in habit or mindset away.

That time my life changed and I didn’t even realize it.

It’s no secret I quit my 9-5 for a 24/7, but I’ve never really talked about it. There’s a lot behind that but this isn’t the exactly about that. This is a story about what that decision led to and what it meant for me.

I never thought of myself as a competitive person.

It wasn’t until I realized that when it came to myself and what I do, reality was the opposite. But where this became an issue was how hard I was being on myself.

Somewhere along the way I forgot that it’s just as okay to just make small steps sometimes. I got so caught up in trying to get things done that I forgot life is often times just about the journey as much as the destination.

This is the start of a new journey.

I’ve realized recently that my work is not really where I want it to be. I’ve been making stuff I felt like I “should” be making and not what I want to be making. I’ve also never actually introduced myself as a person to you.

After finally working up the courage to sit in front of the camera and start talking, both issues are finally addressed.

This video is far from perfect but it’s finally a step in the right direction, towards where I want to go. I’m a strong believer in always pursuing things outside my comfort zone so even though it felt strange, it’s a feeling I fully welcome, and one I hope you welcome too.
