👀 Peeping Tom Sentenced 👀
Follow-Up from a Previous post
I posted back in March that Matthew Thomas Neyers had entered a guilty plea on 4 of the 10 counts he was facing of Interference with Privacy, stemming from photographing and videotaping multple women through their bedroom and bathroom windows.
Under the plea, he was convicted and sentenced yesterday on counts 1, 3, 5, & 9 (listed below).
The sentencing was 364 days in Sibley County Jail, with 224 days stayed for 2 years, and the remaining 120 days to be served on Work Release or Sentence to Serve for each charge - but to run concurrently.
Ultimately, this means if he doesn't mess up, he will spend minimal time in jail, and will continue working in the area.
He will owe $4,998.29 in Restitution and court fees.
Neyers was also convicted back in 2014 for Misdemeanor Indecent Exposure, which was dropped down to a Petty Misdemeanor and a small fine.
Matt was born and raised in Mankato and graduated from Loyal Catholic School in 2010. Last I heard, he's still working in town as well.
